And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
–Â Genesis 2:7-8
God shapes and breathes life. In these verses we see the Creator forming humanity from the dust and breathing into us the very breath of life, an intimate act that reminds us we are made, sustained, and known by God. The garden shows God’s care and our calling: we are placed in a good place to tend, enjoy, and steward what He has given. When you feel small or worn, remember that your life is not accidental; it is formed by God’s hands and kept by His breath.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for forming me and filling me with life. Help me live aware of Your presence, thank You that is Your gift to care for the world and the people around me, and to rest in the truth that I am made by You. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory In Your Mighty Precious Name Jesus Amen and Amen.
