Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Abide in Jesus Christ, bear lasting fruit. Jesus calls Himself the vine and us the branches, our life, strength, and fruitfulness come only as we remain connected to Him. Pruning can feel painful, but it is God’s loving work to remove what hinders growth so that more of His life flows through us. When we depend on Jesus daily, listening, obeying, and resting in His presence, we won’t have to manufacture spiritual power; His life will produce love, patience, and good works in and through us. Remember: apart from Him we can do nothing; in Him we bear fruit that lasts.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, help us abide in You. Jesus, keep us firmly attached to You. Cleanse and prune what blocks Your life in us, deepen our dependence on Your Spirit, and let Your love and power flow through our words and actions. Help us bear fruit that honors You and blesses others. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Amen.
