For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

These verses remind us that no amount of worldly gain can replace the value of our soul. Jesus calls us to examine our priorities and to live with courage and integrity rather than chasing approval, comfort, or success at the cost of what truly matters. When we choose faithfulness over fame, honesty over advantage, and love over self-preservation, we align our daily decisions with eternal worth and reflect Christ’s life to others.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, help me value what You value and to choose my soul’s health over fleeting success. Give me courage to follow You openly, wisdom to set my priorities by Your truth, and grace to live for what lasts. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Jesus Amen.
