If you’re weary, discouraged, or carrying a heavy load, these verses offer permission to rest in dependence rather than performance. Paul is responding to a painful personal struggle and a thorn he asked God to remove. God’s answer < “My grace is sufficient” > reframes suffering: it doesn’t promise removal of every hardship, but it promises sustaining presence and power.
Lord in the Mighty Name of Jesus, I bring my weakness to You. Your grace is enough; fill my lack with Your strength. Help me to rest in You, to be honest about my need, and to let Your power show through my weakness.
