For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
– Psalms 84:10-11

Better to be in God’s presence than anywhere else; even the humblest place with Him is richer than the finest comforts without Him. The LORD is our sun and shield, He brings light into dark moments and stands between us and harm. In times of fear, trust that He gives grace and glory and does not withhold good from those who walk uprightly; lean into that promise now and let it steady your heart.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, your presence is my highest joy; one day with you outweighs a thousand elsewhere. You are my sun and shield, my light and my protection; in you I lack nothing. Grant me your favor and steadfast love, guide my steps, and keep me secure. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty name Amen and Amen.
