“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
– 1 John 1:8-10
These verses call us to honest faith. If we claim we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and reject the truth; but when we admit our sin, we acknowledge the reality of our need and the reality of God’s remedy. Confession is not a one-time legalistic act but a posture of the heart that keeps us in fellowship with God. He is faithful and just to forgive and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Walking in the light means living transparently before God and others, receiving his cleansing, and letting that restored fellowship shape how we live.
Dear Lord Jesus, give me the courage to be honest about my sin and the humility to confess it. Thank You for Your faithfulness to forgive and to cleanse. Restore my fellowship with You and help me walk in Your light today, living in truth and grace. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
Simple reminder Confession opens the door to forgiveness and restoration. God’s faithfulness meets our honesty, so admit, receive his cleansing, and keep walking in the light.
