He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalms 46:9-10
God is the One who brings true peace, He can end conflict, silence the weapons, and calm the chaos we face. When He says “be still,” it’s an invitation to stop striving, to let go of fear, and to remember that His power and presence are greater than any trouble. In that quiet surrender we see His sovereignty and find courage to trust Him for the next step.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, quiet my heart and remind me that You are sovereign. Help me to stop striving, to trust Your power, and to rest in Your peace. Make me still enough to know You more deeply and brave enough to follow where You lead. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
“Jesus Kneels Beside the Man Seeking Mercy”
He sat where hope and hush met, on a worn wooden miracle seat, sunlight weaving through the rafters as the room held its breath. Hands that once calmed storms now rested gently on trembling knees; every sorrow found an open door, every doubt a soft release. He listened like a lighthouse to the names barely heard, lifting the weight of weary prayers and making the broken whole. Miracles came like morning, slow, then sudden as a river’s glow; a whisper turned night to dawn, teaching fear to forget its disguise. Jesus walked a quiet path, His robe catching the light to Heaven’s rise. Beside Him knelt a thin, tired man, shoulders bent under years of sorrow, hands folded in a silent plea, asking for mercy not for tomorrow. His heart gasped for healing, only to be seen. With a gentle glow around His face showing quiet compassion. If your pockets are empty, if your map has lost its lines, sit where mercy gathers. Leave with bread and mended dreams. The man’s eyes stayed low, but Jesus leaned close, placing His hand softly on the man’s shoulder. The man’s wordless assurance that the prayer was already answered. Mercy walked with need, grace met desperation, and hope kept pace with the weary. Not for show, not for the crowd, but for the one whose heart will carry. The Love for his Savior, in the miracle seat.
