These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
– John 15:11-12
Jesus reminds us that his words are meant to give us his joy, not a fragile happiness but a deep, lasting gladness rooted in relationship with him. When he says, βlove one another as I have loved you,β he ties that joy to action: loving like Jesus is the way we stay connected to him and to each other. Today, choose one small, concrete way to show that love, listen without fixing, forgive quickly, or serve quietly, and notice how your heart fills with the same joy he promised.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for the joy You give and for loving me first. Help me to love others with Your same patience and grace so Your joy may be complete in me. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
