And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
–Â 2 Corinthians 6:16-17

You are God’s dwelling place. Paul reminds us that the same God who promised to dwell and walk in His people makes us sacred ground. That reality calls for separation from what defiles, not as a way to earn God’s presence, but as a grateful response to it. When we step away from what pulls us toward idols or compromise, we make room for God’s life to shape our thoughts, words, and choices. Let this truth steady you today: God’s nearness changes how you live.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You for making Your home in me. Help me to turn from anything that dims Your presence and to live in holiness out of love for You. Fill the places of my heart that are empty, walk with me through every choice, and receive me as Your own. Strengthen me to be separated where I must, and gentle where I need grace. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
