For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:17-18

Paul reminds us that the message of the cross isn’t polished rhetoric but the life-changing power of God. What looks like foolishness to the world, Christ crucified, is the very means by which sinners are rescued and transformed. Instead of leaning on clever words or human wisdom, we are invited to trust the simplicity and sufficiency of Jesusβ sacrifice and to live with humble boldness that points others to that power.
Lord Jesus, thank You and Praise You for the cross and the saving power it brings. Give me humility to set aside pride, courage to speak Your truth plainly, and faith to rely on Your strength rather than my own. Use the simple message of Christ to change hearts and draw people to You. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Amen.
