Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
– Hebrews 12:14-15
Pursuing peace and holiness is an active, careful way of living. Peace asks us to seek reconciliation where it is safe and wise; holiness asks us to live with integrity before God. Together they guard us from the slow poison of bitterness, which not only wounds us but can spread to others. Diligence here means naming the hurt, setting healthy boundaries, and choosing small acts of mercy that do not compromise your soul. In that posture you protect your heart and open space for Godβs grace to heal and restore.

Lord Jesus, help me to pursue peace and live in holiness. Keep bitterness from taking root in my heart. Give me wisdom to set boundaries, compassion to pray for those who hurt me, and the courage to trust Your justice. Let Your grace heal what is broken and keep me from causing others to stumble. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Precious Name Amen.
