Matthew 28:20 Easy English Bible

So you should tell each other about any wrong things that you have done. Then you will be able to pray for each other so that God makes you well again. When a good person prays to God, God does powerful things. For example, God’s prophet Elijah was an ordinary person, as we are. He prayed to God that it would not rain. He continued to pray and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. After that time, he prayed to God to send rain again. After that, rain came down from the sky. The seeds that were in the ground began to grow and give food for people to eat. My Christian friends, if anyone among you turns away from God’s true message, you should help him. Try to bring him back to God. Understand this: if you turn a person back from their bad ways, you will save them from death. And God will forgive that person for his many sins.
James 5:16-20 Easy English Bible

Peter said to them, ‘Each of you must stop doing wrong things. You must change how you live. If you believe in Jesus Christ, then we will baptize you. God will forgive you for the wrong things that you have done. Then you will receive the Holy Spirit, who is God’s gift to you. God has promised to do all this for you and your children. He has also promised this to people who live far away in other places. The Lord our God will do it for all the people that he has called to come to him.’
Acts 2:38-39 Easy English Bible

If we say that we never do any wrong thing, we are deceiving ourselves. Even though we may think it is true, it is a lie. Instead, we should agree that we have done wrong things and tell that to God. Then God will forgive us for our sins. He always does what he has promised to do. He always does what is right. He will forgive us and he will make us clean again, whatever bad things we may have done. God says that all people have done wrong things. So, if we say that we have not done any wrong thing, we are saying that God tells lies. It shows that we have not accepted his message at all.
1 John 1:8-10 Easy English Bible

Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Some bad things in this world will make other people do wrong things. You can be sure about that. But God will punish anyone who makes these bad things happen. These other people may not seem to be important. But you must not make them do wrong things. Do not do that! It would be better if someone tied a big stone around your neck, and then threw you into the sea. Be careful how you live. If your Christian brother does something wrong, speak to him. Tell him that he has done a bad thing. He may say, “I am sorry for what I did. I will not do it again.” If he says that, you must forgive him. Your brother may do a bad thing to you seven times in one day. He may turn to you each time and say, “I am sorry for what I did. I will not do it again.” If he does that, you must forgive him every time.’
Luke 17:1-4 Easy English Bible

There is only one God. There is also only one person who brings God and people together. That person is Christ Jesus, who became a man himself. He died as a sacrifice on behalf of all people, to pay the debt of their sins. He died at the proper time for God to show his purpose clearly.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 Easy English Bible

{Jesus appears to his disciples} On the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the disciples were meeting together. They had locked the doors of the room because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Then Jesus came and he stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’ After he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were very, very happy when they saw the Lord. Jesus said again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, in the same way, I am now sending you.’ When he had said this, he breathed on them. He said, ‘Receive God’s Holy Spirit. If you forgive a person’s sins, God will forgive them too. If you do not forgive them, God will not forgive them.’
John 20:19-23 Easy English Bible

Living simply refers to voluntarily engaging in practices to simplify one’s lifestyle. It is a tool to eliminate life’s excess, focus on the essentials, and find happiness, fulfillment, and freedom. Common practices of simple living include reducing the number of possessions one owns, depending less on technology and services, and spending less money. Simple living also reflects a person’s mindset and values. Living simply is about getting out of debt and focusing more on the necessities rather than continually buying more unnecessary stuff. God desires that we live lives that are pleasing to Him. Meanwhile, to live for God simply means that we’re walking according to His precepts and staying on the path He has planned for us. This basically means that we’re no longer living for ourselves or accomplishing the things we desire or want. Simple living and practicing the spiritual discipline of simplicity have allowed me to live an authentic life of faith, a life of purpose, and a life that is truly full. A pretentious, showy life is an empty life; a plain and simple life is a full life. {Proverbs 13:7 EASY: Somebody who has nothing may still pretend to be rich.

Somebody else may pretend to be poor, but he is very rich.}

He must live like a person that carries his own cross to go and die. If he is not ready to die for me, he cannot be one of my disciples.
Luke 14:27 EASY

Jesus and his disciples continued their journey. They arrived at a certain village. There, a woman called Martha asked Jesus to come into her home. Martha had a sister called Mary. Mary sat down near Jesus. She was listening to the things that he was teaching. But Martha was thinking to herself, ‘I cannot do all this work alone.’ So she went to Jesus. She said, ‘Master, my sister is not helping me with the work. She has left me to do it alone. You surely do not think that this is right! Tell her that she should help me!’ The Lord Jesus replied, ‘Martha, Martha, you have troubles in your mind about many things. But only one thing is really important. That is what Mary has chosen to do. Nobody will take it away from her.’ (A person’s greatest need is Jesus in reach of us all!)
