“God’s Guidance Of His People In Spite Of their Unfaithfulness”

Summary for Psalm 78: Give ear, O my people, to my law: Psalm 78 is a wisdom psalm, written to instruct God’s people. The theme is the goodness and kindness of God to His stubborn and rebellious people. Asaph began by asking for the attention of God’s people so they could hear the wisdom he would speak. Did not continue to follow Psalm 78? We do not know who wrote the psalm. Maybe it was Isaiah after the fall of Ephraim, 720 years before Jesus was born. Ephraim was the name of the largest group of families in Israel. The whole psalm is a story, the story (*history) of God’s people until the time of King David.
Psalm Chapter 78:1-72
Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments: And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God. The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law; And forgot his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them. Marvelous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap. In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire. He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers. And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness. And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust. Yea, they spoke against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people? Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel; Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation: Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven. Man did eat angels’ food: he sent them meat to the full. He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind. He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea: And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations. So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire; They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths, The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel. For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works. Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble. When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God. And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer. Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues. For their heart was not right with him, neither were they steadfast in his covenant. But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath. For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passes away, and cometh not again. How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert! Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy. How he had wrought his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Zoan: And had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they could not drink. He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them. He gave also their increase unto the caterpillar, and their labor unto the locust. He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with frost. He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts. He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them. He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence; And smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham: But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased. He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents. Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies: But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow. For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images. When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel: So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men; And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy’s hand. He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance. The fire consumed their young men; and their maidens were not given to marriage. Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows made no lamentation. Then the LORD awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouted by reason of wine. And he smote his enemies in the hinder parts: he put them to a perpetual reproach. Moreover he refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim: But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved. And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established for ever. He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

Father God, Jehovah Rapha I am believing healing, and for the war to stop in Israel and Gaza. I thank You for the many lessons that we may learn from Israel’s past history and Your long-suffering grace towards them. I pray that I may learn all that You would teach me from their past failures, so that I may not repeat the mistakes or the pain and suffering from the past. I am believing, Father God, that I may walk in integrity of heart and humility of spirit all the days of my life, for Your power and greater praise and glory. I thank You, praise You, love You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Live Life Simply! Still Stay Focused!”

Good morning. Not to be self centered! But! When I was growing up. I would go to church, which by the way was like going to heaven. When I went home it was like going to hell, but my mom was in our corner being Jesus to us. Then when I would go to school it was like being in purgatory. Where there was other students who pick on ya! Where boys would spit on ya in school! Get picked on! But the best part was the counselors and teachers that was being Jesus to us. The walks home was great most of the time. Walking in the rain, snow or even a sunny day. It was beautiful. People most of the time tend to be respectable and nice. This was freedom in Christ. Being able to walk to the store for the elderly or do their laundry. Even sitting with them talking about their old times, when I didn’t have to rush home to do homework or chores. I loved being out side and feeling free, away from the struggles that bonded me. Those memories are the strongest in my memory that keep me going and going to church on Sundays and Wednesday to choir practice and singing in the choir. Staying focused on all the good in my life. Focusing on the good in one’s life will simply keep us focused on Christ.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please remove all doubt from my mind and help me to have faith in Your promises in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

In Mathew 6:26-28 it reads: Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

Consider all the wild flowers and bluebonnets that are on the side of the road as we drive or walk by them. Even the Lilly’s I grow their design is not the same. They have different names and are beautiful. They are not all the same, but when the wind blows they sway in different directions. They are free. They have no worries. They don’t work hard or whirl around quickly. They are simply beautiful. The sea and its waves have a swaying talent of their own. Why we should not be anxiously concerned about the future, is the example of the smaller animals, which the providence of God feeds without their own labor; though he be not their father. We never knew an earthly father take care of his fowls, and neglect his children; and shall we fear this from our heavenly Father? God forbid! That man is utterly unworthy to have God for his father, who depends less upon his goodness, wisdom, and power, than upon a crop of corn, which may be spoiled either in the field or in the barn. If our great Creator have made us capable of knowing, loving, and enjoying himself eternally, what may we not expect from him, after so great a gift?
I hope this message touched someone’s heart. You know that Jesus is right with you and he loves you and He will never leave you. Don’t give up your walk with Jesus cause He will never give up on you. Have a wonderful day full of blessings and enjoy Gods gift to you this day.

“Comfort in Trouble from Recalling God’s Mighty Deeds”

Sumary of Psalm Chapter 77 This psalm, according to the method of many other psalms, begins with sorrowful complaints but ends with comfortable encouragements. The complaints seem to be of personal grievances, but the encouragements relate to the public concerns of the church, so that it is not certain whether it was penned upon a personal or a public account. The author of Psalm 77 is believed to be a man named Asaph. He was the director of music as King David’s Tent of Meeting and at Solomon’s temple. He probably wrote much of the music that accompanied David’s Psalms.(1 Chronicles 6:31-33 “And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest. And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order. And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel.”

Psalm Chapter 77:1-20
I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted. I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah. Thou holds mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak. I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times. I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search. Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favorable no more? Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah. And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? Thou art the God that does wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled. The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook. Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known. Thou leads thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Father God, thank You and praise You that You can hear our inside and outside voice from this powerful mind You have given everyone. It is amazing how if our inside voice is doubting and our outside voice is hiding this. You already know what we speak. I thank You and praise You that You have given all of us a powerful mind to connect both the inside voice and outside voice together in tune with You. I thank You for Your mighty power. Thank You that doing this brings blessings, and a faithful walk with You. Thank You for guiding others in our life to encourage and guide. Bless them. Thank You that we are able to ask for forgiveness and celebrate all the good You do and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

Holy Bible – New Testament / Jude chapter 1 False masters (wordproject.org)
CHAPTER 1:1-25
Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withered, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
In Psalm 19:9- God’s laws are just and perfect. Reverence for God keeps us pure and leads us on to Heaven.
Have a wonderful day full of blessings. Enjoy this new day God has given us. Amen.

“The Victorious Power of the God of Jacob”

PSALM 76 summary: This psalm seems to have been penned upon occasion of some great victory obtained by the church over some threatening enemy or other, and designed to grace the triumph. This psalm celebrates a great victory of God on behalf of His people, and those who connect it with the defeat of Sennacherib ( Isaiah 37:33-38: Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it. By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, says the LORD. For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake. Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: and Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.)An attribute Psalm 76 to a later Asaph, or to someone who was the literal or spiritual descendant of the Asaph of David and Solomon’s time. God’s might shown in Zion.
Psalm Chapter 76:1-12
In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel. In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion. There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah. Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands. At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep. Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry? Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah. Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain. Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

Father God, In Jesus, God You are known. Jesus’s name is great in all the earth. Glorying in Jesus is alive and ever lives in heaven making powerful intercession through the Holy Spirit that is one with You. A unique relationship that is awesome and the only way to be connected to Your Unique Relationship is to believe In You Lord Jesus. The glory of the mountains and the splendor of the oceans pale in comparison to Jesus.. His name is beautifully glorified to be praised. The Son of God reigns in heaven as we walk with You and give You all the praise and glory. Your judgement has the last say in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Kindness Refreshes The Heart”

Snails are so misunderstood. I have seen snails eat little black bugs off my hibiscus tree.
Snails are mollusks that belong to the Gastropoda class. They have about 43,000 species categorized into land snails, sea snails, and freshwater snails. Depending on their habitat and species, snails can survive about one to three years or even up to 25 years. Most snails are hermaphrodites, which means they can be both a female and a male.
I talked with the agricultural man, He told me I hope you don’t have snails around. So as he had completed his observation. The man told me. I noticed you have snails in your spider plants. I laughed and told him. I probably missed some of the flower bed with the baking soda. He said baking soda. Why would you use baking soda. I laughed and said: Baking soda is a natural rose dust that you should use on all your plants to keep the snails away and to keep little black bugs off your plants. I said have you ever really watched a snail. He said no. I sadi snails, you can put salt on them and they disappear. You take and use salt in your garden and it destroys your plants. You put Epsom salt in your garden and your plants grow. Well You put baking soda in the garden and watch everything slip off your plants. A snail I have watched climb out of his shell and slip off a leaf. This is how I know the mind is stronger than the body and can heal. The body itself can’t heal the mind. It is so amazing to watch a snail. They don’t harm anything if they are detoured in the right direction.
This is what snails eat on also. You will know that if the baking soda is used on the plant, it will be hard for them to leave a trail on plants. I also like seeing the art work of their trail on plants. They are a very interesting

Snails need calcium supplements for their shells. Snails must have an abundant supply of calcium to build and repair their shells. …
Leaves and vegetables are snails’ favorite. Snails will eat the leaves of the following plants: Apple, broccoli, cocoyam, spinach, kola, cassava, onion greens, okra, eggplant, celery, parsley, loofah, turnip, …
Snails also eat tuber crops. Cocoyam, cassava, yam, sweet potato and plantain. Tubers are a good source of carbohydrates, though low in protein.
They love soft fleshy fruits. Fruits are rich sources of minerals and vitamins but are low in protein. …
Some flowers are edible for snail. Edible flowers for snails include; rose, cauliflower, hibiscus, paw-paw, and sunflower.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, since I want to be forgiven, help me to be forgiving in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

Reads in Philemon 1-7:

From: Paul, in jail for preaching the Good News about Jesus Christ, and from brother Timothy.

To: Philemon, our much loved fellow worker, and to the church that meets in your home, and to the Apphia our sister, and to Archippus who like myself is a soldier of the cross.

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you HIs Blessings and His Peace.

I always thank God when I am praying for you, dear Philemon, Because I keep hearing of your love and trust in the Lord Jesus and in His people. And I pray that as you share your faith with others it will grip their lives too, as they see the wealth of good things in you that come from Christ Jesus.

I myself have gained much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because your kindness has so often refreshed our hearts of God’s people.

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your word of the bible that if we confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved in Jesus name Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, Jesus came into your heart. Find a church you are comfortable with and know that learning and walking with God is one of the most wonderful experiences that you will have. Knowing who holds you and loves you His Child.

“God Abases The Proud, but Exalts the Righteous”

The Story of Psalm 75 The psalm tells us that God has done something good for his people. Many Bible students think that the good thing was this. God saved them from the King of Assyria. His name was Sennacherib. Assyria was a country north and east of Judah. Sennacherib fought against many places near Judah and won. Psalm 75New International Version (NIV) Psalm 75 For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A psalm of Asaph. A song. 1 We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds. Psalm 75: The message of the psalm is summarized (in verse 7): “God is the judge”. Consequently, the psalm may be outlined as follows: thanksgiving for God’s presence and work (verse 1), promise of God’s judgment (verses 2-5), explanation of God’s judgment.
Psalm Chapter 75:1-10
Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
Father God, I thank You, Praise You that You judge accordingly. I thank You and praise You that the horns of the wicked as it reads in Psalm 75 You will cut off and the horns or the righteous shall be exalted. You Father God, are the Judge of All and All! I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Your precious Name Jesus Amen.

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. Psalm 75:1

Thank You, dear Lord, for the gift of Your love, so freely given. Please teach me how to give freely and joyfully to Your glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

It reads in 1 Peter 4:1-11:
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, raveling’s, banqueting’s, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil; joy fills hearts that are planning for good!

“An Appeal Against The Devastation of the Lord By The Enemy”

Psalm 74 – Asking God to Remember His Destroyed Sanctuary This psalm is titled A Contemplation of Asaph. It is a plea and a prayer in great sorrow from the destruction of the sanctuary (Psalm 74:3, 7). The majority of commentators believe this psalm followed the destruction of the temple by the Babylonians. Psalm 74 (Greek numbering: 73) is part of the Biblical Book of Psalms. A community lament, it expresses the pleas of the Jewish community in the Babylonian captivity. Psalm 74 – A contemplative song of Asaph. This lament was written shortly after the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 586 B.C.
Psalm Chapter 74:1-23
God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs. A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees. But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers. They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground. They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever? Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom. For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers. The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun. Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter. Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name. O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever. Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name. Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily. Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.

Father God, I thank You and praise You for what is done in the dark will be brought into the light. Those who hurt or condemn others without looking at their own faults first will be revealed and all their evil ways will be stopped. I thank You and praise You that You protect those who walk upright. Let the poor become rich in You and let the wicked feel their shame and guilt. Thank You and praise You that all will kneel and be brought to Salvation through Jesus Christ. I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever? Psalm 74:10

“The End of the Wicked Contrasted with That of The Righteous”

Book 3:
In Ps 73:1 the psalmist declares his confidence in God, and, as it were, plants his foot on a rock while he recounts his inward conflict. From Ps 73:2-14 he states his temptation; then, from Ps 73:15-17 he is embarrassed as how to act, but ultimately finds deliverance from his dilemma. A psalm of Asaph. 1 Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. 2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. 3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Psalm Chapter 73:1-28
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence’s. For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors. As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image. Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

Father God, I thank You and praise You for this reminder in the psalms 73 that wicked men and women are on a slippery slope to destruction, unless they turn from their wicked ways and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. I thank You and praise You Father God, for Your never-failing goodness, encouragement, blessings and grace towards me. I believe I will draw ever closer to You and declare the wonderful works of You Father God, in the land of the living, knowing that my times are in Your hands and my future is secured for me in heaven. I thank You for mentors and people who teach with Your wisdom, even of long ago. I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holding me by my right hand.”
