“Prayer for the Destruction of The Treacherous”

Chapter 55 It is the conjecture of many expositors that David penned this psalm upon occasion of Absalom’s rebellion, and that the particular enemy he here speaks of, that dealt treacherously with him, was Ahithophel; and some will therefore make David’s troubles here typical of Christ’s sufferings, and Ahithophel’s treachery a figure of Judas’s, because they both hanged themselves.

Psalm 55:1-23
Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication. Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise; Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me. My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah. I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest. Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city. Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it. Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets. For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company. Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them. As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me. God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God. He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant. The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords. Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

Father God, I thank You and praise You for the many things there are for me to learn from King David’s desire to fly away from his problems, in order to find rest for his soul. How easy it is to wish to be free from the trials, stress’s and tribulations in life. How important to understand that the only rest for our soul is to be positioned in Jesus Christ and guided and comforted by His Holy Spirit. I thank You and praise You that by faith in Him I have rest for my soul, even though I may be surrounded by those that hate me and doused in a world at hostile actions towards God. Thank You and praise You for all that Jesus has done for me – bearing the rejection of His people, the denial of His disciples, and the betrayal of His trusted friend. Thank You and praise You that Jesus died for me and rose again so that I may have forgiveness of my sin and receive newness of life, in Your everlasting kingdom. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

Dear Jesus, help me walk in the courage of my faith in Your Precious Name Amen.
In Mark Chapter 14:3-9:
Jesus was in Bethany, at the home of Simon the leper; during supper a woman came in with a beautiful flask of expensive perfume. Then, breaking the seal, she poured it over His head.
Some of those at the table were indignant about this “Waste” as they called it. “Why, you could have sold that perfume for a fortune and given the money to the poor!” they scolded.
But Jesus said, “Let her alone; why berate (Criticize) her for doing a good thing?
You always have the poor among you, and they badly need your help, and you can aid them whenever you want to; but I won’t be here much longer.
She has done what she could, and has anointed My Body ahead of time for burial.
And I tell you this in solemn truth, that whatever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and praised.”
In Psalm Chapter 40:4:
Many blessings are given those who trust the Lord.

“Prayer For Defense Against Enemies”

Summary Psalm Chapter 54: The key of this psalm hangs at the door, for the title tells us upon what occasion it was penned—when the inhabitants of Ziph, men of Judah (types of Judas the traitor), {Betrayed David to Saul, by informing him where he was and putting him in a way how to seize him. Find this in 1 Samuel chapters 23:1-4: When David was told, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are looting the threshing floors,” he inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” The LORD answered him, “Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah.” But David’s men said to him, “Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!” Once again David inquired of the LORD, and the LORD answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand.”

“Psalm 54:1-7
Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah. Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth. I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good. For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
Father God, I praise You and thank You for Your Inspiring Word and all the encouragement it gives, as well as the lessons I can learn from David, who trusted Your Word and stood firm on Your promises, even when being hotly pursued by evil, violent men who sought to destroy him. I praise You and thank You that You are my God, my Helper, and the Sustainer of my soul. Keep me from allowing the stresses and strains of life to doubt Your Word and keep my feet on the path of righteousness. I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. Psalm 54:4

“Constant Opportunities”

( The leaves and flower of clover wake in the morning and they sleep in the eve. Mimosa leaves sleep in the eve or if you touch the leaves they close up and in the morning they open up and the pom pom pink flowers are looking free.)

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen the as they do, but we don’t give up and quit.
We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.
These bodies of ours are constantly facing death just as Jesus did; so it is clear to all that it is only the living Christ within who keeps us safe.
Yes, we live under constant danger to our lives because we serve the Lord, but this gives us constant opportunities to show forth the power of Jesus Christ within our dying bodies.

“Folly and Wickedness of Men”

Chapter 53 God speaks once, yea, twice, and it were well if man would even then perceive it; God, in this psalm, speaks twice, for this is the same almost verbatim with the fourteenth psalm. Psalm 53: This psalm (is a copy of Psalm 14), slightly revised. Two major differences are apparent: this psalm substitutes the generic word for God, Elohim, for the personal name of God used in Psalm 14, Yahweh. This was done evidently to give the psalm a wider appeal.
{Psalm 53:1-6}
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God. There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them. Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
Father God, I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the glory for reaching down to me and making Yourself known to me in so many awesome ways. I am believing that Your Holy Spirit would convict the hearts of many ‘fools’ who have said in their heart: ‘there is no God’ – and bring many to faith throiugh Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. So we all can be with You in eternity with no one left behind. I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Futility of Boastful Wickedness”

Psalm 52 – Praying About the Man Who Loved Evil This psalm is titled To the Chief Musician. A Contemplation of David when Doeg the Edomite went and told Saul, and said to him, “David has gone to the house of Ahimelech.” The terrible events that prompted this chapter are recorded in 1 Samuel 21 and 22.
(1 Samuel 21:1-15)
Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place. Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present. And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women. And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel. So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away. Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul. And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste. And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me. And David arose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath. And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands? And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath. And he changed his behavior before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard. Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me? Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?
{1 Samuel 22:1-23}
David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him. And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men. And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me. And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold. And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth. When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;) Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds; That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub. And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine. Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king. And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord. And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honorable in thine house? Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more. And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house. And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD: because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD. And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod. And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword. And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David. And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD’s priests. And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father’s house. Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.
Psalm 52:1-9
Why boasts thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endures continually. Thy tongue devised mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. Thou loves’ evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue. God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him. Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Father God, I thank You and praise you for this day. I understand more than I ever used too. The importance of humility of heart, a contrite spirit, and the need to be broken before You. Each growing day, the beautiful character of the Lord Jesus can be formed and developed in me. Search me O God, and show me areas where I have not yet submitted to Your leading and guidance, for I desire my life to be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You. Let me be a light of Jesus to those You guide in my path. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

It was about 9:o’clock in the morning when the crucifixion took place.
The people walking by jeered at Him and wagged their heads in mockery. “Ha! Look at you now!” they yelled at Him. “Sure, You can destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days! If You’re so wonderful, save Yourself and come down from the cross.”
The chief priests and religious leaders were also standing around joking about Jesus. “He’s quite clever at “saving: others,” They said, “but, He can’t save Himself!”
About noon, darkness fell across the entire land, lasting until three o’clock that afternoon.
Then Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” {My God, My God, why have You deserted Me?”}
Then Jesus uttered another loud cry, and dismissed His Spirit.
And when the Roman officer standing beside His cross saw how He dismissed His Spirit, he exclaimed,
“Truly, this was a son of God!”

Psalm 116:2

“A contrite Sinner’s prayer for Pardon”

Psalm 51 is one of the penitential psalms. It is traditionally said to have been composed by David as a confession to God after he sinned with Bathsheba. The psalm is a regular part of Jewish, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Protestant liturgies .Background and themes. Psalm 51 is based on the incident recorded in 2 Samuel, chapters 11–12. David’s confession is regarded as a model for repentance in both Judaism and Christianity. The Midrash Tehillim states that one who acknowledges that he has sinned and is fearful and prays to God about it, as David did, will be forgiven.
{2 Samuel Chapter 11 Verses 1-4: David’s sin occurred because he ignored his duty and indulged his desire. Had David been leading the troops as a king should, he would never have found himself in this moment of enticement.}
2 Samuel, chapter 11:1-27
“David and Bathsheba”
In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.” So David sent this word to Joab: “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” And Joab sent him to David. When Uriah came to him, David asked him how Joab was, how the soldiers were and how the war was going. Then David said to Uriah, “Go down to your house and wash your feet.” So Uriah left the palace, and a gift from the king was sent after him. But Uriah slept at the entrance to the palace with all his master’s servants and did not go down to his house. David was told, “Uriah did not go home.” So he asked Uriah, “Haven’t you just come from a military campaign? Why didn’t you go home?” Uriah said to David, “The ark and Israel and Judah are staying in tents, and my commander Joab and my lord’s men are camped in the open country. How could I go to my house to eat and drink and make love to my wife? As surely as you live, I will not do such a thing!” Then David said to him, “Stay here one more day, and tomorrow I will send you back.” So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day and the next. At David’s invitation, he ate and drank with him, and David made him drunk. But in the evening Uriah went out to sleep on his mat among his master’s servants; he did not go home. In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah. In it he wrote, “Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die.” So while Joab had the city under siege, he put Uriah at a place where he knew the strongest defenders were. When the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of the men in David’s army fell; moreover, Uriah the Hittite died. Joab sent David a full account of the battle. He instructed the messenger: “When you have finished giving the king this account of the battle, the king’s anger may flare up, and he may ask you, ‘Why did you get so close to the city to fight? Didn’t you know they would shoot arrows from the wall? Who killed Abimelek son of Jerub-Besheth? Didn’t a woman drop an upper millstone on him from the wall, so that he died in Thebez? Why did you get so close to the wall?’ If he asks you this, then say to him, ‘Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead.’” The messenger set out, and when he arrived he told David everything Joab had sent him to say. The messenger said to David, “The men overpowered us and came out against us in the open, but we drove them back to the entrance of the city gate. Then the archers shot arrows at your servants from the wall, and some of the king’s men died. Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead. David told the messenger, “Say this to Joab: ‘Don’t let this upset you; the sword devours one as well as another. Press the attack against the city and destroy it.’ Say this to encourage Joab.” When Uriah’s wife heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for him. After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the Lord.
{2 Samuel 12. 1 The LORD sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, ‘There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. 2 The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, 3 but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children.}
You can ask God for forgiveness! He will forgive, but there is always repercussions to our sins.
“Nathan Rebukes David”
2 Samuel, chapter 12:1-31
The Lord sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, “There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him. “Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him.” David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this must die! He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.” Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’ “This is what the Lord says: ‘Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight. You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.’” Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the Lord, the son born to you will die.” After Nathan had gone home, the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife had borne to David, and he became ill. David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth on the ground. The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them. On the seventh day the child died. David’s attendants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they thought, “While the child was still living, he wouldn’t listen to us when we spoke to him. How can we now tell him the child is dead? He may do something desperate.” David noticed that his attendants were whispering among themselves, and he realized the child was dead. “Is the child dead?” he asked. “Yes,” they replied, “he is dead.”Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they served him food, and he ate. His attendants asked him, “Why are you acting this way? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept, but now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!” He answered, “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, ‘Who knows? The Lord may be gracious to me and let the child live.’ But now that he is dead, why should I go on fasting? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.” Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and made love to her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The Lord loved him; and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah. Meanwhile Joab fought against Rabbah of the Ammonites and captured the royal citadel. Joab then sent messengers to David, saying, “I have fought against Rabbah and taken its water supply. Now muster the rest of the troops and besiege the city and capture it. Otherwise I will take the city, and it will be named after me.” So David mustered the entire army and went to Rabbah, and attacked and captured it. David took the crown from their king’s head, and it was placed on his own head. It weighed a talent of gold, and it was set with precious stones. David took a great quantity of plunder from the city and brought out the people who were there, consigning them to labor with saws and with iron picks and axes, and he made them work at brickmaking. David did this to all the Ammonite towns. Then he and his entire army returned to Jerusalem.
{Psalm Chapter 51:1:19}
For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place. Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness. Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise. You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings, My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. May it please you to prosper Zion, to build up the walls of Jerusalem. Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous, in burnt offerings offered whole; then bulls will be offered on your altar.

Father God, I thank You and praise You that I have been saved by grace and declared righteous in Your sight, through faith in the Lord Jesus.{“Indeed, I was guilty [when I] was born; I was sinful when my mother conceived me.” Psalm 51:5} I thank You and praise You that if I confess my sin to You, You are faithful and just to forgive me and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I pray that I would not seek to justify my wrongdoings or try to blame others for my sinful actions. Help me to fly to Your throne of grace for the mercy and forgiveness that is promised to all who trust in You. I thank You and praise You for Your plan of redemption that gives every man and woman the opportunity to turn to You for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. I thank You and praise You for your loving-kindness and great compassion towards Adam’s fallen race and I pray that I live my life to honor and glorify Your Name in all I do and say in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
Power verse: Psalm 51:10:
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

“Just A Small Thing”

There is this neighbor she moved in the next door house about a year ago. Her dog runs our fence and our dog follows. With one command she can stop her dog from doing this running the fence thing. Our dog I guess thinks it is fun. One day I was walking our dog with a leash. Our neighbor was riding her bike while her dog followed her, The immediately her dog attacked my dog while I was holding the leash, as she just stopped and watched! Really! Then she says Blue come! Dog goes! She didn’t ask if I was alright or even care. She just kept going. So Wednesday we had the tree men come out to cut down this tall dead pine tree. Well they had the tree down and while they was cleaning up the tree. Our neighbor started screeching! Get away from my fence, among other words. So I told them they didn’t have to. Just keep doing their job. So they did. But people think they can control you with their tongue. God gave us this mind and our choice to speak right words. One thing I can say: She has a dead pine tree also that the tree guy thought was mine. I told him it’s on her side. Right next to our garage. How do you tell a neighbor like this that they have a deader pine tree than ours hanging over our garage that could do a lot of damage. Just keep praying God will open her eyes and heart.

I will pour out my spirit on all flesh’ Acts 2:17

Dear Lord, sweeten my attitudes. May my life breathe the fresh fragrance of Your Spirit in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. James 3:2-6
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. James 1:26

Father God, when I see trouble or trouble surrounds me assist me in controling my tongue. Thank You and praise You for the wise counsel of Christian brothers and sisters and their love and caring hearts. You have placed them my life, to give me godly guidance and wise instruction. Thank You for all those who have gone on to heaven and that they was Jesus to me. May I be willing to listen to their advice. I am believing that You would confirm the guidance I receive in Your word, and through Your Holy Spirit. Use me, I pray to offer and receive wise advice to others, and to be ready and willing to respond to Your leading and guiding in every area of my life. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
A wise man holds his tongue. Only a fool blurts out everything he knows; that only leads to sorrow and trouble. Proverbs 10:14
I hope this message touch’s someone’s heart today. Have a wonderful day full of blessings.

“God The Judge of The Righteous and The Wicked”

Summary of Chapter 50: This psalm, as the former, is a psalm of instruction, not of prayer or praise; it is a psalm of reproof and admonition, in singing which we are to teach and admonish one another. In the foregoing psalm, after a general demand of attention, God by his prophet deals. Many older commentators feel that Psalm 50 was authored by the original “Asaph”.The psalm is a warning to the pilgrim of Zion to avoid hypocrisy and formalism before God. The setting of the psalm is comparable to a courtroom: God, the Judge, appears in a theophany.

Psalm Chapter 50:1-23:
A psalm of Asaph.
The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets. From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages. He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people: “Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice. “Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel: I am God, your God. I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me. I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? “Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” But to the wicked person, God says: “What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips? 1You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you. When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers. You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit. You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son. When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you. “Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you: Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.”

Father God, I confess that I have not always had the right attitude of true thanks giving towards You, I want to make my life a living sacrifice that is pleasing to You and glorifies Your name. Assist, identify and correct any wrong attitudes within my heart and begin anew to worship You in spirit and truth. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
