Paul reminds us that the Christian life is meant to be lived together. The repeated “one” in these verses, one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, is a call to hold fast to what unites us more than what divides us. Pursuing unity means choosing peace, humility, and forgiveness in everyday relationships, listening more than insisting, and letting the shared hope of Christ shape our priorities. When we guard the bond of peace, our witness becomes clearer and our love more like the Father who is “above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for calling us into one body by one Spirit. Give us humility to seek peace, courage to forgive, and wisdom to protect the unity You have given. Fill our hearts with the one hope of the Lord Jesus Christ so our words and actions reflect Your love. Strengthen us to live as one people under one Lord, now and always. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
