He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Jesus came to break the power of sin and set us free. Being born of God means sin no longer defines us; it may tempt us, but it does not have the final word. Growth in holiness looks like honest repentance, dependence on the Spirit, and small daily choices that reflect God’s life in us. Let this truth move you from guilt to action: confess, turn, and trust God’s power to change you.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for breaking sin’s hold and making me new. Fill me with Your Spirit so my choices reflect Your life, give me courage to turn from what harms me, and steady my heart in truth and love. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Amen.
