But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

This verse reminds us that the promise of power comes before the call to witness. The Holy Spirit equips ordinary people for extraordinary witness, not by our strength, but by God’s presence working through us. Start where you are: faithful in small, everyday acts of love and truth, and trust that the same Spirit will carry that witness outward to your neighborhood, your city, and beyond. Let dependence on the Spirit replace striving, and let obedience, however small, be your first step.
Change of mind can come from several sources. The Holy Spirit often brings conviction that leads to repentance, peace, and a lasting change of heart. Satan tempts, confuses, and accuses, aiming to steal faith and sow fear. Human factors, fear, pride, misinformation, tiredness, or honest rethinking, also shape decisions. The key is not to assume every change is from one source or the other, but to test it.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, help me recognize your gentle conviction, resist deception, and follow what aligns with your Word. Fill me with your Spirit so my choices bear good fruit. Fill me with your Spirit and give me boldness to witness in word and deed. Help me live faithfully where I am and trust you to use those small acts for your wider purposes. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Precious Mighty Name Amen.
