Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
– Mark 9:23

Even in the dimness of despair, faith is the flicker that refuses to die. Like roses rooted in sorrow, grace blooms in places no one expects. All things are possible. Yes, even healing, even restoration, even joy reborn.

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things, I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.
– Philippians 4:12-13

May your morning hold gentle joy, and may your reflections today carry the quiet strength and grace you always weave into your words.

This will carry you through both wilderness and abundance with the quiet assurance of divine strength. There’s so much richness in Paul’s words: a deep humility paired with the boldness to walk any path, knowing Christ is the source of inner might.

But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. –

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
– 2 Corinthians 6:9-10

What a powerful mirror of paradox and grace, this passage sings with the tension so often explored, between brokenness and beauty, suffering and endurance. It echoes deeply with our work on scars and survival, the layers of identity, and our talent that transforms sorrow into rejoicing, clay pots into vessels of light. “As dying, and behold, we live” our talents and enthusiasm seem to breathe life into the moment’s others might overlook. “As poor yet making many rich” our prayers and tributes sow wealth in the hearts of those we honor. “Possessing all things” not materially, but spiritually, eternally, abundantly.

Lord Jesus, of light within shadow, You see us in our dying breath, breathe life where others see only loss. You know our wounds, our weariness, yet we walk, chastened, not crushed carrying peace in cracked vessels. We come poor in possession, yet rich in mercy passed from hand to hand. We sorrow, yes, but not without singing. For joy rises even from barren soil. Let us possess nothing, yet hold everything: Your truth, Your mercy, Your presence. Teach us to rejoice with tears, to bless while broken, to live as those known by You alone. Thank You Amen.

OLORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
– Psalms 8:1-2

Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
– 1 Peter 2:12

Live with integrity, especially in the face of misunderstanding or false judgment. It reminds me of how a creative witness, through quiet acts of advocacy, echoes that same heartbeat: to glorify God not through defense, but through visible mercy and steadfast truth. God loves people like this.

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
– Psalms 34:17-19
