“Rebekah Say’s Yes”

“Rebekah Say’s Yes”

In the morning, Abraham’s servant wanted to take Rebekah and leave at once to return to Abraham.

But her mother and brother said, “Let her stay with us a few days at least, and then she may go.”

The man begged them not to delay him, for he felt that he should hurry back to his master again.

They said, “Well call Rebekah and ask her if she is willing to go to soon.”

She replied, “Yes I’ll go now.”

So they sent her to Isaac and never saw her again, for Isaac’s home was hundreds of miles away.

After many long, hot, weary days of camel travel, they came at last to Canaan just as the sun was going down. Isaac had gone out into the field for a walk, to be alone with is thoughts. Perhaps he wondered whether the servant would soon be back and whether God had helped him find a girl to be his wife. What would she be like?

Just then he looked up, and the camels were coming!

When Rebekah saw Isaac walking in the field. She asked the servant who it was, coming to meet them. The servant told her it was Isaac. Then she took a veil and covered her face with it. Isaac brought her into the tent that had been her mother’s before she died. And Rebekah became his wife, and he loved her.

Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac and died at the age of 175. He was buried in the cave he had bought from Ephron, where he had buried Sarah.

Questions:

Was Rebekah willing to go right away?

What was Isaac doing when he saw the camels coming?

What did Rebekah do when she saw Isaac?

How old was Abraham when he died?

“God Answers Prayer”

It was evening when Abraham’s servant arrived at the town, and the girls were all coming out to draw water from the well. As the servant watched them coming, he asked God to help him find the right one to be Isaac’s wife.

How could he ever know? This is what he decided to do. He would ask one of the girls to give him some water from her pitcher. If she answered him with a smile and said, “Yes, and I will water your camels too.” Then she would be the one God had chosen to be Isaac’s wife. But if she was grouchy and wouldn’t give him the water, then she wouldn’t be the right one.

While he was still praying, a beautiful girl named Rebekah came, carrying her pitcher on her shoulder; she went down to the well and filled it with water.

The servant ran over to her said, “Please give me a drink from your pitcher.”

‘Certainly, sir, “she replied, “and I’ll water your camels too!”

She let down her pitcher from her shoulder and gave the servant a drink, then ran back to the well and began drawing water for his camels!

After the camels had finished drinking, the man gave Rebekah a gold earring and two gold bracelets. He asked her whose daughter she was and whether there was room at her father’s house for him and his men to spend the night. Rebekah told him she was the daughter of Bethuel and that there was plenty of room.

When the servant heard her say she was Bethuel’s daughter, he realized that she was a cousin of Isaac’s, for Abraham was Bethuel’s uncle. He was glad, so he bowed his head and worshipped the Lord, thanking God for helping him find the right girl so quickly.

Rebekah ran home to tell her mother that the men were coming. When her brother Laban heard about it and saw the earring and the bracelets, he ran to the well to find the man and to bring him home. After Laban had helped him unload the camels and feed them, it was time for supper, so Laban took Abrahams servant in to meet the family.

But the servant said he couldn’t eat until he had told them why he had come to their country. He said that he was Abraham’s servant and that the Lord had blessed Abraham and made him very rich. He had silver and gold. Flocks, and herds, camels and donkeys; God had also given him a son, Isaac, who needed a wife.

He told how he had come to the well that day and had prayed that God would help him find the right girl to be Isaac’s wife. He had prayed that God would help him find the right girl to be Isaac’s wife. He had prayed that if she was the right one, she would answer pleasantly when he asked for water. He told them that while he was still praying, Rebekah had arrived. When he asked her for a drink, she had said, “Of course, and I’ll water your camels too!”

Then the servant asked them whether or not they would let Rebekah go with him to marry Isaac. They said yes; since it was the Lord who had brought him to them, Rebekah could go.

When the servant heard this, he was very happy and worshipped the Lord. He brought out other beautiful presents, jewels of silver and gold, and beautiful clothing, and gave them to Rebekah. And he gave her mother and her brother presents too.

At last he and his men were ready to eat, and afterwards they stayed at Laban’s house all night.

Questions:

How did Abraham’s servant find the right girl?

What was her name?

How did she show that she was the right girl?

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

“Abraham Gives Isaac To God”

Do you remember that Abel sacrificed a lamb to God? Do you remember  how pleased God was with him for doing this?

We’ll one day God said to Abraham. “Abraham, take your son Isaac whom you love so much, and go to the land of Moriah and burn him as a sacrifice upon one of the mountains I will point out to you!”

Yes , Abraham was commanded to sacrifice Isaac upon and altar just as Abel had to sacrificed that lamb so long before. How could Abraham kill his own dear son?

But God told him to do it.; Abraham heard Him speak. He knew that he must do whatever God said, and he knew that even if Isaac were burned on the altar so that nothing was left but ashes, God could take those ashes and make him live again.

So Abraham got up early in the morning and saddled his donkey. He took two young men with him, some wood to lay on the altar, and Isaac, his son.

They started toward the mountain God had told him about. They travelled all that day and the next day and the next, before Abraham finally saw the mountain far ahead of them. Then he told the young men to stop and wait. He and Isaac would go to the mountain and worship, he told them, and then would come back to them.

Why do you think Abraham said that both of them would come back? I think it was because Abraham believed God would bring Isaac back to life.

Isaac carried the wood, and Abraham took some fire to light the wood (Since they had no matches). The two went on together.

Isaac did not know what God had told his father to do, nor why his father was taking him to the mountain. He knew they are going to offer a burnt offering, but he didn’t know he was going to be burnt up on the altar as a sacrifice. So as they walked along together, he said to his father, “Father, we have the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”

Abraham answered, “My son, God will find Himself a lamb for the burnt offering.”

When they came to the place God had sent them to, Abraham built an altar and laid the wood on it. Then he tied Isaac and laid him on the wood, and Abraham lifted the knife to kill his son.

But at that instant the angel of God shouted to him from Heaven, “Abraham! Abraham! Stop!”

Then the angel told him not to hurt Isaac. Abraham had proved that he feared God. He had been willing to obey God’s command even if he had to sacrifice his own son.

Then Abraham noticed a Ram caught in the bushes by it horns. God had sent it there to be used as a burnt sacrifice (offering) instead of Isaac. Abraham killed it and burnt it on the altar.

God was greatly pleased with Abraham for being willing to obey. Then the angel of God spoke to him from heaven again and told him that God would bless him by giving him many, many, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His family would some day be so large, the angel said, that no one could even count them! And they would help all the other people in the world.

(The angel said this about helping other people everywhere, because the Savior of the world was going to be born into Abrahams family.)

Then Abraham and Isaac came back to the young men who were waiting for them, and they all returned home.

Sarah, Isaac’s mother, died when she was 127 years old. Abraham and Isaac came back cried a lot because she was dead. The Abraham asked the people who owned that country to sell him a piece of land where he could bury her.

In that country people were buried in caves made in the sides of hills. Then a great stone was rolled against the opening of the cave to close it. When anyone died the stone was rolled away and the dead person was laid inside the cave was shut up until someone else was buried there.

There was a man in that land whose name was Ephron, who owned a field with a cave at one end of it. Abraham wanted to buy this cave to bury Sarah in. So he asked Ephron’s friends to tell him that Abraham wanted to buy it.

Ephron said Abraham could have the cave without paying, but Abraham preferred to buy it. Ephron agreed to sell it, and Abraham gave him 400 pieces of silver for the cave and the nearby field and trees. So he buried Sarah there.

Abraham was getting very old, and the Lord had blessed him in every way.

Isaac was a full-gown man and wanted to get married. But his father Abraham didn’t want him to marry any of the girls in that country, because they all worshiped idols instead of worshiping God. He wanted Isaac to marry a girl from the country  where his relatives lived, where the people obeyed God and didn’t worship idols.

But that country was far away. So Abraham called his oldest servant, the one who was in charge of all his business, and asked him to go o that distant land where his relatives lived and to bring back a girl for Isaac to marry.

But what if I can’t find a girl who is willing to come so far? “The servant asked.

Abraham told him, “God will send an angel ahead of you to help you and the right girl to come and be Isaac’s wife.”

So then the servant loaded ten of Abrahams camels with beautiful presents and started off.

After many days of hard travel he finally arrived at the town where Abraham’s relatives lived. He made the camels kneel down by a well that was just outside the city.

Questions:

What did God tell Abraham to do?

What happen just as Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac?

What did Abraham use as a burnt offering?

Why didn’t Abraham want Isaac to marry a girl from his own country?

What did Abraham tell his servant to do?

Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us, whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter, asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-6
Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent, the Lord detests them both.

“Bobby Birthday Again”

Yesterday I woke up, I have everything to be blessed about but still wondering in a precious Heavenly son who had everything to live for. He left this world with so much pain from others hurting him. Gang members caused his hurt of body and mind. In the past.  21 years ago, he left with loving everyone the night before happy with getting  love for someone back. Telling me he loved me before I left his friends home. Then one bottle of wine and a sawed off shot gun took my son’s life. They said suicide. Unanswered questions have left me breathless of why. One quick bullet. Why! I woke up at two in the morning with this song in my mind. Helped me to tell Bobby I love him and happy Heavenly Birthday and started to say May God bless you with many more and I said; Wait! You are right there with him and you don’t have no more hurt or worries. I woke up with the song of  Fortunately, this is usually a benign finding. Causes of Feeling With Your Heart in Your Chest. Ryan Stevenson ~ With Lifted Hands (Lyrics) ft. Martin Smith Remember, that’s where this organ is located. “Forceful beating of the heart and/or increased heart rates leading to palpitations may be caused by anxiety, stress, panic attack or fear. I continued to clean the house and mess up my photos I started looking at.  Made Walt’s breakfast etc. My son Josh came over. We spent some time.

Randy asked me the night before if I would be next door at 10 or 11 am, I said sure.  I went next door and saw Whizzy  knelling on the ground, with her hands, she was pulling weeds with her garden utensils. My heart wanted to get down on the ground and do it with her cause my soul was feeling the loss of my son not being here on his birthday. So I continued to the house and went in and started sweeping up the dead bugs from when I sprayed. Then I vacuumed the rooms and swept up the closets and bathroom etc.

So, Randy called and said that he was waiting for a man to come see the house at 12:45 or 1pm. So I went outside to talk with Whizzy , told her about a easier way to get the weeds. All and all I was thinking of her husband who recently passed, God was showing me that my soul {Father thank you for showing me that Your all I need} My soul was reaching out, I didn’t even realize it. This woman didn’t know my heart, but God does. He was with me through my confusion and yelling from inside me. I needed to surrender and let go again. My soul yesterday was out of the body, but was put back in its place.

Before that my son Josh and husband Walter went to what-a-burger got lunch, so I went back to the house to eat. Each time I went by Whizzy. She had done a terrific job getting those weeds on the side of the driveway. She didn’t even know she helped my soul to get back in order. When that man showed up I put my mind to what was happening cause I was back on track.

But, When I was asked for something I had sent to Randy that I was to give him. They gave me a ride and we went in the house, I looked at the mess of photos, my mind went blank.  My mind got lost back on my son Bobby. Well, they let me know they would get it later.  I went back to thinking of Whizzy and got her some flowering bulbs. She is an amazing woman and God put her in my path to realize her pain is still in that great person.  I started thinking of the song from Zack Williams, No Longer Slaves. I am always thinking or waking up to Christian Songs. I love music.  God has Bobby and he is safe. It is just the thought of missing him that always creeps in my soul when I least expect it or when I expect it. I thank God for all those who sends in my path each day and that He will never let me fall into stress. The mind can heal the body, but the body can’t heal the mind because God gave us His powerful mind and when our mind doesn’t think right. God is right here guiding it. Amen!

This is the chapter Psalm 67:

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us— so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.

But I have no time to do phone calls I am to busy doing this life and there is not enough time to sit there talking to people who don’t understand me anyways. I like talking to people face to face. This is how I am able  assisting people and guide them. Those who really need my assistance I do assist. I am not God!  I keep up with everyday demands. Only those God allows me to do. I love my job. ” Silent Killers, No One See’s “

Although the exact cause is unknown, NPD is often associated with the individual’s upbringing. It is characterized with an increased sense of self-importance and excessive urge for admiration. The individual has trouble taking criticism and looks down on others with a socially distressing behavior. Psychotherapy is the main mode of treatment. Medications may be prescribed to treat depression and anxiety. This is not good for relationships. The other person if they are verbally or physically abused by this person are usually the life time victim to the Narcissistic person’s family. Instead of caring for the abused person. They throw them aside to grieve in their own self-pity. But, is it self pity. Whereas the abused victim either takes their own life because of non caring people around the abused victim. They just live in fear of everyone being like this one abuser.  They shouldn’t live in fear, alone in their own miseries. I have even seen people yelling at each other on the street or at the grocery store’s. I was with my son one day. This guy was yelling at this woman. She looked scared. I said “why you yelling at her?” He toned his voice some and told me mind my own business. I did. I said what I was going to say. I will do it over and over again. Because I know that the victim deserves respect and not to be a victim. So if this guy is doing it in public. You know right well it is worse between closed doors. Just saying. Whether it is a man or a woman. No one deserves all this disrespect the other dishes out.

“Mother”

Being a “Mother” is a great responsibility. And it begins not with your children, but with allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you in all that you do. As mothers, we are called to be dependent on God for how we live and the decisions we make. As “Christian Mothers”, that calling is so much greater, as we are responsible not only for putting God first in our own lives, but also for leading our children to do the same. Being a Godly mother does not come easily; it can only be accomplished when Jesus leads the way. Invite him to be a part of prayer and action of every decision you make and every child you nurture. By putting God first life is a beautiful life.
