“The Gardener”

“The Gardener”
What is the “Lord s” Prayer?
The Lord’s Prayer. The Lord’s Prayer, oftentimes referred to as the “Our Father Prayer”, is perhaps the most popular prayer in all of Christianity. It is known in many languages, and is recited around the world. doxology on the end: The Lord’s Prayer. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Lord, help me to overcome my fears by filling my mind with positive thoughts and my life with positive actions in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

I am the true Vine, and My Father is the Gardener. He lops off every branch that doesn’t produce. And those that bear fruit He prunes for even larger crops. He has already tended you by pruning you back for greater strength and usefulness by means of the commands I gave you. Take care to live in Me, and let Me live in you. For a branch can’t produce fruit when severed from the vine! Nor can you be fruitful apart from Me. Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from Me you can’t do a thing. My true disciples produce bountiful harvests. This brings great glory to My Father. “Thirsting for God in Trouble and Exile”

For the choir director. A Maskill of the sons of Korah.
Psalm 42 is a lament psalm written by men who formerly were able to freely worship God with the Lord’s people. But something has changed. And now they find themselves removed from the religious life that they formerly enjoyed. And they miss it greatly. So, let’s start with the superscription of Psalm 42. In Matthew 5:6, Jesus says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” When Jesus says those who come to Him will never hunger and those who believe in Him will never thirst, He is saying He will satisfy our hunger and thirst to be made righteous in the sight of God.
Psalm Chapter 42:1-11
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng. Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon, from Mount Mizar. Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. I say to God my Rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?” My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me, saying to me all day long, “Where is your God?” Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
Father God, I realize more and more how much I need You to be the restorer of my life and soul. I am needing the living water from on high to refresh my heart and sustain my spirit every moment. Lord, times are tuff and sometimes the stress of life seem to embrace me on every side. I thank You and praise Your name that You are my shelter from the pressures and You alone revive my tired soul. Safeguard me and those I love under the shadow of Your wing. In Jesus’ name I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 42:11

“Father, thank You for the strength I find in gathering and praying with Your people in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

{My mom always told me, I am who I hang with. Which is a true statement. If you hang with people you think you can fix, one day they will drag you down to their level. Funny how that saying still lingers to this day.} I blamed God for a lot of suffering in my life. I blamed him for others I tried to fix, but they was unfixable. I had to learn the hard way that God never made their choices, I had to stop blaming God and ask him for forgiveness. I should of never even tried to fix them. I should of moved on with what God had for my life. One lady that really was destroying her life. She would see me and hang with me and I knew she was what they say bad news. I didn’t have a car, but I had my own stuff I had to do. So she would walk with me when ever see she saw me. People started thinking I was like her. Sad. But true. One day she was over at her friends house and I was walking by, and heard her screaming. I walked in to find her on this guys floor with blood all over the place. She had stabbed her leg so badly trying to end her life. I wrapped her leg in towels and called a ambulance. I haven’t seen her ever again. God calls us to pray for others , put it in His hands and let it go. I wish I had known this along time ago. Because I used to want to fix everyone I saw and it brought on a lot of problems I could of avoided by praying and leaving it in God’s hands. I have noticed when I leave my prayers in God’s hands, he deals with it. I just prayed that someone had taught me this along time ago. God is probably saying, I did tell you through your mother. I am glad that God sent good mentors in my life.
In Ephesians 5:8:13 it reads:
Though once Your heart was full of darkness, now it is full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it! Because of this light within you, you should do only what is good and right and true. Learn as you go along what pleases God. Take no part in worthless pleasures of evil and darkness, but instead, rebuke and expose them. It would be shameful even to mention here those pleasures of darkness which the ungodly do. When you expose them, the light shines in upon their sin and shows it up, and when they see how wrong they really are, some of them may even become children of the light!
Reading in Proverbs 24:25: But blessing shall be showered on those who rebuke sin fearlessly.
Have a awesome day full of blessings and joy.

“The Psalmist in Sickness Complains of Enemies and False Friends”

“The Psalmist in Sickness Complains of Enemies and False Friends”
God’s kindness and truth have often been the support and comfort of the saints when they have had most experience of man’s unkindness and treachery. David here found them so, upon a sick-bed; he found his enemies very barbarous, but his God very gracious. The message verse by verse is one of such psalms. It speaks of the blessings of good conduct, the ills of betrayal, a plea for mercy and praises to God. The psalmist in Psalm 41 reveals how a man can be compassionate to the needy and yet be treated wrongly in return. This is the case of so many believers scattered everywhere.
“Psalm Chapter 41:1-13”
Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the LORD delivers them in times of trouble. The LORD protects and preserves them, they are counted among the blessed in the land, he does not give them over to the desire of their foes. The LORD sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness. I said, “Have mercy on me, LORD; heal me, for I have sinned against you.” My enemies say of me in malice, “When will he die and his name perish?” When one of them comes to see me, he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander; then he goes out and spreads it around. All my enemies whisper together against me; they imagine the worst for me, saying, “A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.” Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me. But may you have mercy on me, LORD; raise me up, that I may repay them. I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me. Because of my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever. Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
Father God, be with me, and with all that are facing similar problems in their lives. Jehovah Rapha, it seems that so many people that I know have contracted some sort of health problem, and I just ask You to visit each of us at this time of illness, stretch Your healing hand on each of our lives and restore us to good health. I thank You and praise You, that You are The Lord, Who hears and answers prayers. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

{Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
Psalm 41:13}

“Old Testament Prediction”

“Jesus Life Was Predicted by Isaiah long before Jesus was born.
I bring this up before Palm Sunday was actually the fulfillment of one of those prophecies. In a book in the Old Testament are the writings of the prophet Isaiah. In his prophecy, he sees the Lord getting spit upon and ridiculed. Even His beard is being pulled as He is mocked and beaten. Imagine God who became man to teach us how to get to Heaven, and this is how we treat Him. The Passion of our Lord is something we should meditate on often, because it shows us just how much our God cares for us and loves us. No matter what suffering we endure, He knows what it is like to be hurt and wounded by those He loved. So this week as we shout “Hosanna”, think about how great a love God has for you that He would send His only begotten Son to suffer and die for us that we may attain everlasting life. Perhaps we could read some of those scriptures and do some meditating? Something to think about.

1) He hath no form nor comeliness:
Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 )He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
{This text predicts that Jesus would have the physical appearance of an average man of that time. The verse explains that he would have no distinguishable beauty or attractiveness, and that he would look like an ordinary Jew. This is quite a powerful prophecy of the coming Messiah, in that he would not appear in the glory of a king or a god, but rather a normal human being.}
{Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. John 8:58-59} This New Testament verse in the book of John confirms the prophecy found in verse Isaiah 53:2. When the Jews were about to stone Jesus, he was able to escape and blend into a crowd, because he was an average looking man. Had Jesus been a beautiful, awe-striking man, the Jews would have been able to pick him out of the crowd of people.

3) Rejected by the World Fulfillment: Isaiah 53:3&4
He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
{Jesus Christ was clearly reject by the Jewish people when he was tried and crucified. His charges were blasphemy, because of the claims he made of deity. We can clearly see from the crucifixion that Jesus was neither accepted nor respected by his people as the Messiah.}
Rejected by the World Fulfillment: Isaiah 53:4

Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
{Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.}

5) He was wounded for our transgressions: Isaiah 53:5&6
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

{Crucifixion Fulfillment:
Christ would be “wounded” for our transgressions by being crucified by the Romans. The Lord would put the punishment for our sins on Jesus’ shoulders.

{This Isaiah 53 Bible prophecy predicts the sacrifice that Jesus Christ would placed on the cross for our iniquities.}

6) He opened not his mouth:
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.

{This is perhaps the most specific Isaiah 53 Bible prophecy that Jesus fulfilled. Verse 7 predicts that Jesus would not speak, and not defend himself. Just like a “lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb” Christ would not defend himself when on trial. The passage predicts that he would remain silent, accepting his fate.}
5) He was cut off out of the land of the living:

Isaiah 53:8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.

6) He made his grave with the wicked:

This prophecy from Isaiah 53 is two fold. First, the prophet predicted that Jesus would make his grave with the wicked, meaning he would die with the unrighteous. Secondly, this verse predicts that Christ would live a sinless life, doing no violence nor lying.

Isaiah 53:9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
7) Sinless Life and Crucifixion Fulfillment:
The first part of the prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus was crucified with two thieves on the cross. With this, Jesus “made his grave with the wicked” being killed with two unrighteous criminals.

The second part of the Isaiah 53 Bible prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus lived a sinless and blameless life. He did no violence nor lied about who he was. Because Jesus had no “deceit in his mouth”, everything he said about his deity was true. Isaiah 53 in turn confirms his deity by declaring he did not lie, hence everything he claimed was true.

Isaiah 53:10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
Isaiah 53 Atonement For Sin Fulfillment:
1 Peter 3:18: For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

This Isaiah 53 Bible Prophecy fulfillment is confirmed by so many verses in the New Testament, however 1 Peter 3:18 is one example. Jesus’ death was a sacrifice because of sin, so that we may be right with God in the day of judgement. There is no amount of good deeds or works man can do to be in good standing with a perfect and holy God. So in an act of unconditional love and sacrifice, God sent his only son into the world to pay the price that we could not.
Isaiah 53 Silent Sacrifice Fulfillment:
Isaiah 53:11-12
After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53 Silent Sacrifice Fulfillment:
Matthew 27:11-14
And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

{As we can see in the book of Matthew, Jesus Christ did not defend himself against the accusations of the chief priests and the elders. Jesus fulfilled this Isaiah 53 prophecy by remaining silent at his sentencing. Like a lamb to the slaughter, Christ made no defense.}

Isaiah 53 Crucifixion Fulfillment:
Jesus would obviously fulfill this Isaiah 53 Bible prophecy of being “cut off out of the land of the living”, by dying on the cross. He would no longer be in the “land of the living” because he would die a gruesome and horrible death.

“Hope of Glory”

Good morning, I want to talk about hope. I know 3 famous people from long ago. One was my Grand mother “Grace Jackson’ Grace was a singer, she sang songs with a band or bands. She made RCA records, but she didn’t become so popular. She was my grandmother and she was famous for her gingerbread cookies and peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches, that I have never made as good as they tasted long ago. I remember one time, my brother and sister caught the measles, but I didn’t. So our grandfather and grandmother Grace took just me to the beach and bought me new sneakers and new clothes. I had fun. But she didn’t when my dad and mom got mad at her for taking me to the beach. Well eventually our grandmother Grace went through a disease called Leukemia, which seemed not long when she passed away. But Grace was famous in my memories.

Then there was my other “grandmother Ruth”. Ruth had diabetes. A disease that took both her legs “amputation”. Our grandmother passed away when I was a year old. Our mom talked great about Ruth and Ruth will always be famous in my eyes. Then My grandmothers knew Jesus. Not every body knows of all the famous people I have met that knew Jesus. I have met lots of people in my life time. The most famous person I have heard about is Jesus. The one thing I have learned is, when you go through something difficult or you see someone going through something difficult and You pray for them, God hears. He gave us this powerful mind as a gift. God don’t need a GPS to find us. Amen!
{Asking prayers for my Sister Rae and My brother Tim, they are going through the same disease our Grandmother Ruth went through. They also know Jesus}

Paul speaking to Christians: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:25-29
“God has sent me to help His church and to tell His secret plan to you Gentiles. For He has had a secret for centuries and generations past, but now at last it has pleased Him to tell it to those who love Him and live for Him, and the riches and glory of His plan are for you Gentiles too, and this is the secret: that Jesus Christ in your hearts is your only hope of glory. And so everywhere we go and to all who will listen we preach Jesus Christ; warning them and teaching them as well as we know how, so that we can present each one to God, perfect because of what Christ has done for each of them. This is my work, and I can do it only because Christ’s energy is at work within me.
{The mind can heal the heart, but the heart can’t heal the mind. Amen!}

“God Sustains His Servant”

Psalm 40 is a song written by David, most probably before he was king and when he was a fugitive from Saul. It was common in times of distress and hardship like this to reflect upon God’s past acts of salvation. The remembrance of these things acted as the faith-foundation for the prayer that would follow. This Psalm is a lament psalm that starts with praise and confidence – and then moves into the lament and petitions. What’s interesting is that it seems like David begins with praise from the past in order to deal with his problems in the present. This Psalm is a song about the pits. It falls into two sections. In the first half (40:1-10), David tells how God got him out of one pit and he sings God’s praise for doing so. But he did not then live happily ever after. Rather, it is evident from the second half of the psalm. {40:11-17} His petition is a plea for deliverance from his enemies, but it is wider than that. He is concerned about the triumph of all righteous people.

Psalm 40:1-17
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me. Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me. Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified. But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

Father God, I delight to do Your will and meditate on Your word. I am believing for You to multiply my desire for You, so that my life may be a testimony to Your light, love and grace. I thank You, praise You and give You al the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.”

“Father God, Loves You”

Good morning.

“Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. James 4:8”

Thank You, dear Lord, for the gift of Your love, so freely given.
Please teach me how to give freely and joyfully to Your glory
in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

The Father Himself loves you dearly because you love Me {Jesus} and believe that I came from the Father into the world and will leave the world and return to the Father.” At last You are speaking plainly,” His disciples said, “and not riddles. Now we understand that You know everything and don’t need anyone to tell You anything. From this we believe that You came from God.” “Do you finally believe this?” Jesus asked.
“But the time is coming, in fact, it is here, when you will be scattered, each one returning to his own home, leaving Me (Jesus) alone. Yet I will not be alone, for the Father is with Me {Jesus}.
I have told you this so that you will have peace of heart and mind. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows; but cheer up, for I have overcome the world.”

{John 16:27-33}

Those who love Your laws have great peace of heart and mind and do not stumble.

“The Vanity of Life”

Is Psalm 39 a lament? When it comes down to it, Psalm 39 is a lament psalm. But it’s a lament that was almost not given. David’s going to explain some realities that discouraged him from speaking truthfully about his problems. But then we’re going to see him overcoming that as he considers how temporary this life truly is.

Psalm Chapter 39:1-13
(1-3) David’s silent agony:
I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred. My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spoke I with my tongue,
(4-6) David’s wise words:
LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Surely every man walked in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heaped up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.
(7-11) Trusting God in a season of correction for sin:
And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it. Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand. When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.
(12-13) A humble prayer for restored favor and regained strength:
Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.

Father God, we know that there are many Drug addicts, alcoholics and other addictions of others that they abuse others both physically and emotionally and that many children are also placed in danger due to abuse from these addictions. Those who protect these abusers work on their heart and let them see the truth about the abuse. We know that such habits can often leave families with insufficient money to live on and people and children living in the street. Protect all those that are vulnerable from all forms of abuse, and convict hearts of such persons who harm them and their selves . Let them feel their shame of their lack of responsibilities of being loving, responsible and dependable . I believe that they will turn from their evil ways to turn to You Lord Jesus, knowing that only in You are the true freedom found. From experience a heart can weaken if there is no help for the abused. I thank You and praise You for guiding the right people in the abused persons life. Father God, guide all families that are in this position, safely. Keep a hedge of angels around them for protection. I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.”
(Psalm 39:12)

“Wonderful New Home”

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:13
Help me, Lord, to remember that by thy word the Heavens and earth were formed and by Thy word we one day will awake in Your likeness. In Jesus Precious Name Amen.
For we know that when this tent we live in now is taken down, when we die and leave these bodies, we have a wonderful new home waiting for us up in Heaven, a home that will be ours forevermore, made for us by God Himself, and not by human hands. Amen! We know these things are true by believing, not by seeing. And we are not afraid, but are glad to be rid of these bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. Amen!
So our aim is to please Him always in everything we do, whether we are here in this body or away from this body and with Him in Heaven. For we must all stand before Jesus Christ to be judged. Each of us will receive the payment he deserves for the good or bad things he has done in these bodies here on earth. Whatever we do, it is certainly not for our own profit, but because Christ’s love controls us now. He died for all so that all who live , having received eternal life with Him, might live no longer for themselves, to please themselves, but to spend their lives pleasing Christ who died and rose again for them.
“2 Corinthians 5:1,7-10,14,15”
Thank You Lord for all the glorious things He does: proclaim them to the nations.
Psalm 105:1

{Today, won’t you take a stand for Christ. Pray about this: Say “Lord Jesus, come into my heart forgive me of all my sins! I want You to be my Lord and Savior from now on.” Then get into a church and get baptized where you will be dunked into Christs death and brought back up in new nest of life, Just as Christ did on that cross for you and I. Amen!
Have a wonderful day full of blessings.
