“An Evening Prayer For Sanctification And Protection”

Psalm 141 is the 141st psalm from the Book of Psalms. In the slightly different numbering system in the Greek Septuagint version of the bible, and in its Latin translation, the Vulgate, this psalm is Psalm 140. It is attributed to David, a plea to God not only for protection from one’s enemies, but also from temptation to sin. Ps 141:1-10. This Psalm evinces its authorship as the preceding, by its structure and the character of its contents. It is a prayer for deliverance from sins to which affliction tempted him, and from the enemies who caused it. The Treasury of David 3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. David that penned the words of this Psalm, who was calling on the Lord to protect him, and to help him speedily. There are times when God’s help is a long time coming, but David had an urgent need that required immediate attention and his words reflected the urgency, as he cried out, “O Lord, I call upon You; hasten to me!The thought of our prayers ascending to the Lord in heaven in the cool of the evening, as a sweet-smelling fragrance to our Heavenly Father, is most beautiful to contemplate. A time for comfort and rest. God hears His children like this: As a child calls out to his attentive father for help, or as a mother strains to hear and respond to the concerns and cries of her child, so the ear of the Lord is ever open to the heart felt words and cries of His children.
Psalm Chapter 141:1-10
Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties. Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities. When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet. Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth. But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute. Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.
{Lets Pray}
Father God, I thank You and praise You for the example of the Lord Jesus, Who lived a life that was set forth as incense before You. Perfect in the power of Your Spirit, I believe I will cease from my own efforts to follow the perfect example of Jesus, Who only did what He heard from You, through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Help me to live a life that is a sweet-smelling perfume before You, through the power of the Holy Spirit. lead me and guide me in the way that I should go. Protect me from the wiles of the enemy. Help me to take every thought captive so that the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart may always be acceptable to You, my God and my Redeemer! All praise, worship, honor and glory be to You forever and ever in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

Selah” What Psalm 140 means The word “Selah” comes after verses 3, 5 and 8. It is a Hebrew word that does not come often in Book 5 of the Psalms. It is a word that David often used in his psalms in Books. Psalm 140 the word *Selah helps to put the psalm into parts: · verses 1 – 3: David prays that the *LORD will save him from *evil people; · verses 4 – 5: David prays that he will not become caught in a *trap; · verses 6 – 8: David tells the *LORD that the *LORD is David’s God. The life of David wherein he comes in contact with Saul and Doeg is the best explanation of this Psalm; and surely there can be no reasonable doubt that David wrote it, and wrote it in the time of his exile and peril.

PSALM 140
Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah. Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings. The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah. I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah. As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again. Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

Father God, I am believing for anyone out there in this world that is going through distress, misery of any sort, danger, or if they have any kind of enemies surrounding them in any way. I am believing a hedge of angels in their lives and that no weapon formed against them prosper. I am believing if their is anyone out there that want to know you that they will pray this prayer with me. Father God, I am a sinner. I’m sorry for my sin; please forgive me. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son and that He died for my sins and You raised Him to life. I want to invite Him into my heart to take control of my life. I thank You In Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Free Gifts From The Holy Spirit”

There are many ways of doing His work, but it is the same God who does the work in and through all of us who are His. The Holy Spirit displays God’s Power through each of us as a means of helping the entire church. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; someone else may be especially good at studying, and this is a gift from the same Spirit. He gives special faith to another, and to someone else the power to cure the sick. He gives power for doing miracles to some; power to prophesy and preach to others. He gives someone else the power to know whether evil spirits are speaking through those who claim to be giving God’s messages, or whether it is really the Spirit of God who is speaking. Still another person is able to speak in languages he never learned; and others who do not know the language either, are given power to understand what he is saying. It is the same and only Holy Spirit who gives all these gifts and powers, deciding which each one of us should have.
1 Corinthians 12:6-11
Worship the Lord with the beauty of holy lives. Let the earth tremble before Him.

Psalm 96:9

“God’s Omnipresence and Omniscience”

Psalm 139 reflects David’s prayerful meditation of God’s omnipresence and omniscience, and the effect those characteristics of God have on the human heart. Omnipresence means God is everywhere. 1 Samuel 13:14 tells us that David was “ a man after His own heart ”. This means that David was a man after God’s own heart, which indicates that David was a believer. Therefore, Psalm 139:23-24 are verses for believers. Psalm 139 is called a psalm of David and is generally thought to be written by King David himself.
What does know mean as used in Psalm 139:6? ” Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot [attain] unto it.” Meaning either the knowledge of himself, such as God had of him. Which was vastly superior to what he had of himself. And especially the knowledge of other persons and things, whether visible or invisible, in heaven, earth, or hell.

Psalm Chapter 139:1-24
O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knows my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understands my thought afar off. Thou compasses my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knows it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hides not from thee; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knows right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Father God, nothing gets past You. What joy it is to know that You know everything about me, and even the things that I do wrong, can never separate me from Your unfailing love. Help me to live out this truth in my life, and may I do only those things that are pleasing in Your sight! I don’t understand how this can be, but I thank You and I praise Your wonderful name for that You are with me every moment of the way, every second of my day and I thank You and Praise You that I can walk in righteousness that makes me feel free even when others judge me, I can feel good knowing You’ve got me. I thank You, love You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Bear One Another’s Burdens”

I used to work with the disabled, handicapped or advanced in mental, physical, or social development than is usual for one’s age. That pretty much couldn’t give me a testimony of why they was given this title for their life. I loved working them and just doing arts and crafts with them I used to volunteer with arts and crafts with the elderly and they pretty much could tell me about some of their past. Pretty much some in the same mind set of not being able to give a testimony. I had a Uncle Harold who was in who was in the military and ended up in a state hospital for the insane. We would have him in our home on weekends some times when we was growing up. I was about 20 years old when they moved Uncle Harold to the nursing home on Main Street in Massachusetts. There is where I was able to see him often with my children. When I moved to California. I was able to write. But they sent my letter back to me and I was upset. But as time went on. My son Robert went back to Massachusetts to live with his dad. There is when my son was able to see his great Uncle Harold and then I received a letter that my Uncle had passed. My son also sent a card that had a summary of our Uncle Harold’s life. This is what I believe is bearing someone else’s burdens. My uncle left a legacy through his suffering. I thank God for all those who beard the burden for our Uncle Harold and God will keep blessing them and their family’s. It would be tough to write a book about someone’s life story, or even our own. No one could ever know someone’s life story but God. Praying for others. Having compassion, kindness and a good listening ear. Sometimes you can’t help your own family with their situations. Have to give it to God and believe He will heal and move in away of their situation to be resolved. That Gods grace, protection, joy and peace be in their lives.

Galatians 6 starts with describing how Spirit~~~led Christians serve each other by restoring those caught in sin and bearing each other’s burdens. Includes instructions for how people who are free in Christ and walking by God’s Spirit, should treat each other. Christians should restore those who are caught by sin, and we should bear each other’s burdens. Only those who plant the fruit of God’s Spirit, by faith in Christ, will harvest eternal life. The idea of sowing and reaping takes readers back to Galatians 6:6, which was about sharing good things with the minister. One way to sow to the Spirit is to support the ministry of God’s Word. Up through the time of the Reformers, that is how this passage was usually interpreted.Paul was passionate for His Lord and equally passionate that we understand and apply the truth of the whole counsel of God, but he knows that many will be tossed about by the chill winds of deceptive doctrines and that many false teachers and doctrines of demons will enter the church to confuse the flock; to lead astray and entice many to return to the path of legalism and worldly pursuits. Near the conclusion of His expose on the dangers of legalism and the glories of grace Paul nails his whole argument on the cross of Christ.No wonder Paul passionately proclaimed: but as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.
Galatians 6:1-18
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

{Let’s Pray}
Father God, I thank You and praise You that Jesus Christ work is complete, and I do not have to keep the Law to please you, simply trust in Jesus as Savior, I thank You for guidance to walk right in Jesus way the only one way. Father, I thank You for the wonderful way that You gradually opened up our understanding through the Old and New Testament Scriptures, to teach us that we are all sinners in need of a Savior, and we are justified by faith. I thank You and praise You that You have broken down the barrier between Jew and Gentile and that by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, we are new, redeemed Children new in freedom each day. I believe I will live my life to Your praise. thanksgiving and glorying Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Peach (Preach) The Word”

I solemnly urge you before God and before Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when He appears to set up His Kingdom..
To preach the Word Of God at all times, whenever you get the chance, in season and out, when it is convenient and when it is not. Correct and Rebuke your people when they need it, encourage them to do right, and all the time be feeding them patiently with God’s Word.
For there is going to come a time when people won’t listen to the truth, but will go around looking for teachers who will tell them just what they want to hear.
They won’t listen to what the Bible says but will gladly follow their own misguided ideas.
You must stay awake and watch out for all these dangers. And don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Bring others to Christ. Leave nothing undone that you ought to do.
2 Timothy 4:1-5 {In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.}

“Thanksgiving For The Lord’s Favor”

Psalm 138 is the 138th psalm of the Book of Psalms, generally known in English by its first verse, “I will praise thee with my whole heart” ( King James Version ). The Book of Psalms is found in the third section of the Hebrew Bible, and a book of the Christian Old Testament. Psalm 138 is a declaration that even the kings of the nations will praise Yahweh. “This Psalm is wisely placed. Whoever edited and arranged these sacred poems, he had an eye to apposition and contrast; for if in Psalm 137 we see the need of silence before revilers, here we see the excellence of a brave confession.
Psalm Chapter 138:1-8
I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. In the day when I cried thou answerers’ me, and strengthened me with strength in my soul. All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth. Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD. Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knows afar off. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerned me: thy mercy, O LORD, endures for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
{Prayer}
Father God, I don’t understand how this can be, I thank You and praise Your wonderful name that You are with me every step of the way in this life. I thank You and praise You every moment of my day. I thank You for this life of freedom that only You can bestow on anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and that He died for our sins and rose to new life to be with me and all who believe. “Sharing Life With Jesus”

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons and daughters of God. And so we should not be like cringing, fearful, slaves, but we should behave like God’s very own children, adopted into the bossom of His family, and calling to Him, “Father, Father.”
For His Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts, and tells us that we really are God’s children, then we will share His treasures, for all God gives to His Son Jesus is ours now too. But we must also share His suffering if we are to share His glory. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will give us later. For all creation is waiting patiently and hopefully for that future day when God will glorify His Children. {Romans 8:14-19}

“An Experience Of The Captivity”

Psalm 137 is a hymn expressing the yearnings of the Jewish people during their Babylonian exile (The Babylonian captivity or Babylonian exile is the period in Jewish history during which a number of Judahites of the ancient Kingdom of Judah were captives in Babylonia. After the Battle of Carchemish in 605 BCE, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, besieged Jerusalem, resulting in tribute being paid by King Jehoiakim.). In its whole form of nine verses, the psalm reflects the yearning for Jerusalem as well as hatred for the Holy City’s enemies with sometimes violent imagery.

Psalm Chapter 137:1-9
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewarded thee as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dashes thy little ones against the stones.

(Prayer)

Father God, It is sad how evil people can be, when they deliberately hurt someone or just brutally kill them for something just to do. It is sad to tear someone’s heart apart and get away with it. To those who want to destroy lives in any way shape or form. Lord I am believing You will deal with them as they deserve. We live in a sad world. I believe that if we believe in You nothing will befall us. I thank You and praise You that we should be silent around our accusers and enemies. Smile and walk on and make them really think about their actions. I thank You and praise Your ending to those in Captivity. Justice is Yours God and not mine is what I got from this Psalms. I know You will make all right in Your timing in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
