“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9 NIV “Prayer” When I feel all alone, Father God, help me to remember that You are with me and I have nothing to fear in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

God does not rehabilitate his children; he resurrects them! God has no desire to change you; he wants your sin nature to die so he can live through you. As strange as it may sound, the key to the Christian life is death. Because Jesus died for us, we must be willing to die to ourselves. Do you have any bad habits that need to die? Are you holding on to a dream that dishonors God? Is there any part of the person you were before you became a Christian that you refuse to kill? The greatest evidence of living in Christ is repeatedly dying to self. Do this, and you will walk in newness of life and display the riches of God’s grace.
It reads in Hebrews 12:4-12 NIV: That God Disciplines His Children! In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined, and everyone undergoes discipline, then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
