Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Our daughter Lena showed us a picture of her scare crow and her corn. I was like that is awesome how she showed us as it grew and her and her friend made a scare crow and the scare crow broke during the wind, but she was able to fix it.

In John 12:24-25 these verses teach that true life and eternal significance come through surrender, sacrifice, and faith. It’s a call to follow Jesus’ example of self-giving love. This is a profound passage where Jesus uses the metaphor of a grain of wheat to illustrate the principle of sacrifice leading to greater life and fruitfulness.

God will come along and fix our brokeness if we choose to let Him.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Proverbs 11:2 – Pride leads to shame, perhaps because arrogance blinds people to their mistakes or causes them to act foolishly. In contrast, humility (“the lowly”) is linked with wisdom, implying that those who acknowledge their limitations and approach life with openness are more likely to gain understanding. Proverbs 11:3 – focuses on integrity as a guiding force for the upright. Those who are honest and morally sound will find their way forward with clarity. But for those who engage in deceit or wrongdoing, their own corruption will ultimately lead to their downfall. These two verses encourage humility, wisdom, and integrity while warning against pride and dishonesty.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
