This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Mother’s Day! It highlights the comforting, nurturing nature of a mother’s love, something deeply cherished and revered. Just as a mother console her child, the verse portrays God’s comforting presence and the joy that comes with it. Mother’s Day is a time to reflect on that unconditional love, whether from our own mothers or from mother figures who have shaped our lives.
As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
