What Psalm 61 means. In English we say that they were “in *awe” of God. If Psalm 61 is about David fighting the Syrians, then the, inheritance is the land that David got in the fight. If it is about Absalom wanting to be king, then the *inheritance is the land of Israel that David got back when Absalom died. David escapes from Jerusalem. 2 Samuel 15:13-37:And the king’s servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint. And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house. And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off. And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king. Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile. Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth be with thee. And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be. And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him. And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness. And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city. And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation: But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him. The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar. See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me. Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there. And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up. And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness. And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head: Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me: But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father’s servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel. And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king’s house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests. Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok’s son, and Jonathan Abiathar’s son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear. So Hushai David’s friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
Psalm 61:1-8
Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name. Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him. So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
Father God, I thank You and Praise You for Your awesomeness, for Your complete attention; Your absolute love; Your committed grace and Your everlasting salvation. Thank You that You my Lord and my God ~ my Savior and my all in all In Jesus Precious Name Amen and Amen.

The free gift of salvation is now being offered to everyone; And along with this gift comes the realization that God wants us to turn from godless living and from sinful pleasures and to live good, God ~fearing lives day after day. Looking forward to that time when His glory shall be seen, the glory of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Who died under God’s judgement against our sins, so that He could rescue us from constant falling into sin and make us His very own people, with cleansed hearts and real enthusiasm for doing kind things for others.

Titus 2:11-14
Father God, give me a teachable spirit and a desire to know Your ways. Keep me separated from the ways of wicked men and help me to walk daily in the path that you have set before me. Open my eyes to Your truth as I study Your Word and help me to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit day by day. You are my sufficiency and strength, my light and my life. My all in all . I am believing that when dark clouds of unknowing loom across my heart that I immediately call to mind the wonderful truth of Who You really are, and of the wonderful security and eternal salvation I have in Jesus Christ. Chapter 60 After many psalms which David penned in a day of distress this comes which was calculated for a day of triumph; it was penned after he was settled in the throne, upon occasion of an illustrious victory which God blessed his forces with over the Syrians and Edomites; it was when David was in the zenith of his prosperity, and the affairs of his kingdom seem to have been in a better posture then ever they were either before or after.Psalm 60. (This is) for the music leader. (He must use) “A *Lily of the *Covenant”. (Psalm 60) is a *miktam of David. It was to teach how: · he fought armies in Mesopotamia · he fought armies in Syria · he sent Joab to Edom, where he killed 12 000 people in the Valley of Salt.
The promise of Military victoryNot only does the superscription of Psalm 60 place this psalm precisely, but so also does the text of the psalm itself. Most psalms intentionally use very general language, reffering to unspecified “enemies” In Contrast, psalm 60 names particular surrourding kingdoms, the nations that David conquered, in its superscription and text.
The psalm expresses the hope that God will bring future victory over enemies {Psalm 60:12} In ch. 18 the Chronicler summarized Davids victories over Phillista, Moab, Aram (Syria)and Edom with the report that the Lord preserved David wherever he went ( 1 Chronicles 18:13 He put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became subject to David. The LORD gave David victory wherever he went. ) In the final account of Davids wars with the Ammonites, Philistines, and descendants of the giant ( 1 Chroinicle 19 & 20 ~ David Defeats the Ammonites Chapter 19 ~ In the course of time, Nahash king of the Ammonites died, and his son succeeded him as king. David thought, “I will show kindness to Hanun son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me.” So David sent a delegation to express his sympathy to Hanun concerning his father. When David’s envoys came to Hanun in the land of the Ammonites to express sympathy to him, the Ammonite commanders said to Hanun, “Do you think David is honoring your father by sending envoys to you to express sympathy? Haven’t his envoys come to you only to explore and spy out the country and overthrow it?” So Hanun seized David’s envoys, shaved them, cut off their garments at the buttocks, and sent them away. When someone came and told David about the men, he sent messengers to meet them, for they were greatly humiliated. The king said, “Stay at Jericho till your beards have grown, and then come back.” When the Ammonites realized that they had become obnoxious to David, Hanun and the Ammonites sent a thousand talents of silver to hire chariots and charioteers from Aram Naharaim, Aram Maakah and Zobah. They hired thirty-two thousand chariots and charioteers, as well as the king of Maakah with his troops, who came and camped near Medeba, while the Ammonites were mustered from their towns and moved out for battle. On hearing this, David sent Joab out with the entire army of fighting men. The Ammonites came out and drew up in battle formation at the entrance to their city, while the kings who had come were by themselves in the open country. Joab saw that there were battle lines in front of him and behind him; so he selected some of the best troops in Israel and deployed them against the Arameans. He put the rest of the men under the command of Abishai his brother, and they were deployed against the Ammonites. Joab said, “If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you are to rescue me; but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will rescue you. Be strong, and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The Lord will do what is good in his sight.” Then Joab and the troops with him advanced to fight the Arameans, and they fled before him. When the Ammonites realized that the Arameans were fleeing, they too fled before his brother Abishai and went inside the city. So Joab went back to Jerusalem. After the Arameans saw that they had been routed by Israel, they sent messengers and had Arameans brought from beyond the Euphrates River, with Shophak the commander of Hadadezer’s army leading them. When David was told of this, he gathered all Israel and crossed the Jordan; he advanced against them and formed his battle lines opposite them. David formed his lines to meet the Arameans in battle, and they fought against him. But they fled before Israel, and David killed seven thousand of their charioteers and forty thousand of their foot soldiers. He also killed Shophak the commander of their army. When the vassals of Hadadezer saw that they had been routed by Israel, they made peace with David and became subject to him. So the Arameans were not willing to help the Ammonites anymore.

“The Capture of Rabbah”
1 Chroinicle Chapter 20
In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, Joab led out the armed forces. He laid waste the land of the Ammonites and went to Rabbah and besieged it, but David remained in Jerusalem. Joab attacked Rabbah and left it in ruins. David took the crown from the head of their king, its weight was found to be a talent of gold, and it was set with precious stones, and it was placed on David’s head. He took a great quantity of plunder from the city and brought out the people who were there, consigning them to labor with saws and with iron picks and axes. David did this to all the Ammonite towns. Then David and his entire army returned to Jerusalem.

“War With the Philistines”
In the course of time, war broke out with the Philistines, at Gezer. At that time Sibbekai the Hushathite killed Sippai, one of the descendants of the Rephaites, and the Philistines were subjugated. In another battle with the Philistines, Elhanan son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver’s rod. In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot—twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha. When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, David’s brother, killed him. These were descendants of Rapha in Gath, and they fell at the hands of David and his men.
Psalm 60:1-12
O’ God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shakes’. Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment. Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me. God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; Moab is my wash~pot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me. Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies? Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
Father God, I know from experience that there are many alcoholic husbands that abuse their wives or visa versa, both physically and emotionally and that many children are also placed in danger due to abuse from an alcoholic father or mother. And also Lord Jesus, we know that such drinking habits or even drug addiction can often leave families with insufficient money to live on. Some live in the streets. Protect all those that are vulnerable from all forms of abuse, and convict such men and women of the responsibilities of being loving husbands {Wives} and dependable fathers {Mothers}. Lord Jesus , we pray that they turn from their evil ways to turn to You Lord Jesus, knowing that only in You are true freedom found in overcoming hate and turning it into joy, love and compassion. Keep a hedge of angels around all children and Unite family’s and committed them to safety in Your Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.

Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Psalm 60:11

Good morning. I had a flash back of good memories from the past. When I was younger I walked from Haverhill to the Plaistow, New Hampshire border to Kings Department store. It was like in the year 1976. On the walk there, I would walk by this farm that had cows and goats. There was this one goat that would jump around like the joyous one out of the group. Some would say he was acting crazy. But he was having fun. He would see me at the fence and come over to me and be calm and excited all in the same breath, LO! The first time I saw this goat, I was scared to pet him. Each time I walked by and seen him, we became friends and I was able to pet him. Don’t know why I thought of this, this morning. Joy filled my heart to remember this memory. Joy can make you want more joy. That goat had a way of bringing the joy of Jesus in others lives’, including mine. Amen!

In John 21:15-17:
After breakfast Jesus said to Simon Peter. “Simon, son of John, are you more of a friend to Me than these others?”
“Yes,” Peter replied, You know how much I really love You.”
“Then feed My lambs,” Jesus told him.
Jesus repeated the question: “Simon, son of John, are you really a friend of Mine?”
“Yes Lord,” Peter said, “You know how deeply I love You!”
“Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said.
Once more He asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you really love Me deeply?”
Peter was grieved at the way Jesus asked the question this third time. “Lord, You know my heart; You know I do, “he said.
Jesus said, “Then feed My little sheep.”

Psalm 9:1-2:
“I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.”

Psalms 59. Chapter 59 This psalm is of the same nature and scope with six or seven foregoing psalms; they are all filled with David’s complaints of the malice of his enemies and of their cursed and cruel designs against him, his prayers and prophecies against them, and his comfort and confidence in God as his God. (Read Psalm 59:8-17) It is our wisdom and duty, in times of danger and difficulty, to wait upon God; for he is our defence, in whom we shall be safe. It is very comfortable to us, in prayer, to look to God as the God of our mercy, the Author of all good in us, and the Giver of all good to us. v17 I will raise psalms to you, My Strength. Because you, God, are My *Fortress, the God that will always show me your kind love. The Story of Psalm 59 David was a servant of King Saul. Many people liked David. Saul did not like this so he sent men to kill David. But David’s wife Michal gave him help to get out through a window. Protection in the night: While the language of the Psalms themselves does not describe specific historical events, a few psalms have superscriptions that assign them to a particular historical context. Writing and singing songs will do this. In any event that a song touchs ones heart. IT IS AWAY OF HEALING HURTS AND HEARTS. OR WILL BRING JOY TO ONE’S SOUL! AMEN!
These superscriptions are clearly separate from the actual Psalm. and many scholars believe that they were added long after the original compositions.
Whether they were original to the psalms, or were added later, the superscriptions do associate some psalms with specific events. They may indicate how some psalms was understood or used by the Israelites in worship and devotion. For that reason, psalms have been placed so as to preserve the associations of the superscriptions. Thus psalm 59 was associated with Saul’s attempt to capture David at his own house. {1 Samuel 19: 1-24}And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David. But Jonathan Saul’s son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself: And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee. And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good: For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause? And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain. And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan shewed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past. And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him. And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand. And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin, but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night. Saul also sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David’s wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain. So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped. And Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats’ hair for his bolster, and covered it with a cloth. And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick. And Saul sent the messengers again to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him. And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats’ hair for his bolster. And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee? So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth. And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah. And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied. And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also. Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah. And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah. And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets.
Psalm Chapter 59:1-17
Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men. For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD. They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold. Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah. They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city. Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear? But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision. Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence. The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies. Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield. For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak. Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah. And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city. Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied. But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
Father God, I thank You and praise You for the book of Psalms the many books, Those ones that so often comforts my soul in difficult and healing times and refreshes my heart and soul in distressing circumstances. Help me not to focus on life’s external problems nor the internal doubts that can enter my mind and cause me to fear. Help me, Lord, to bring to mind Your precious promises of refreshment and supply, and to cast all my burdens on You. Praise the Lord O my soul and all that is within me. I Love you, thank You and praise Your glorious name Jesus. Amen and Amen!

Psalm 58 Summary: The psalm may best be described as a prayer against unjust judges. “O congregation” (in verse 1), is literally “O gods”, though the word is best taken here to refer, not to gods, but to rulers who represent God. God and civil leaders are sometimes closely linked together (Exodus 22:28 ~Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people. & Deut. 19:17-18~the two people involved in the dispute must stand in the presence of the LORD before the priests and the judges who are in office at the time. The judges must make a thorough investigation, and if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony against a fellow Israelite,) It is also classified as one of the Imprecatory Psalms. Psalm 58 is a companion piece to Psalm 57, which also describes David’s difficult relationship with Saul. The psalm is a regular part of Jewish, Catholic, Anglican and Protestant liturgies. Is this a contradiction in the Bible? , Lamentations 3:34-39~ To crush underfoot all prisoners in the land, to deny people their rights before the Most High, to deprive them of justice- would not the LORD see such things? Who can speak and have it happen if the LORD has not decreed it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come? Why should the living complain when punished for their sins? and Luke 19:22-40~ And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? And they said, The Lord hath need of him. And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.} All speak of a time of judgment. This time is reserved for GOD to take vengeance. It is not for MEN to take vengeance. Also in these chapters. “No. Psalm 35, Psalm 55, Psalm 58, Psalm 68, Psalm 69, Psalm 83, Psalm 109” Some of these I have read and some are coming up in the near future. Interesting!
Psalm Chapter 58:1-11:
Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stopped her ear; Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bended his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. As a snail which melted, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun. Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath. The righteous shall rejoice when he Seth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judges in the earth.

Father God, I thank You and praise You for the opportunity for us to once again examine our hearts during this trying world seems glim and full of sin and judgement. I am believing for Your presence in the White House and all those in authority. That they will have a awakening of heart checks. That Your truth will reveal and put all the nonsense once and for all out in front of all the people to see and the people to conquer all that You have planned for our lives. Not what man has planned for our lives. , And that all will come to repent, know, love and have the faith in Christ Jesus that we confess. Psalm 58:1

The psalm is in two parts: verses 1-5 and verses 6-11 . Both end with the words “God, lift yourself above the skies. Lift your *glory above all the earth” ( verses 5 and 11 ). God is already above the skies, in his home in *heaven. These two verses mean “God, show everyone that you are *Lord of everything”.Bible students think that David wrote Psalm 57 at this time. They also think that he wrote it so that people could sing it to music that they called “Do not destroy”. Psalm 57 is a *miktam. (To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.) Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.Psalm 57 is a *miktam. This means that it had a hidden meaning, or had special teaching in it. There are two stories in the Bible about David hiding in a *cave. One is in 1 Samuel 22:1-3: David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him. nAnd every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men. And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.}the other in 1 Samuel 24:1-7: And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi. Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats. And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave. And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul’s robe privily. And it came to pass afterward, that David’s heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul’s skirt. And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD’s anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.. We do not know which one this psalm is about.
In Chapter 57:1-11

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

Father God, keep our hearts a glow for Jesus. Let us focus on making positive life choices, guiding and sending you prayers that will lead to good decisions and best outcomes. Let our hearts be about achieving peace and spiritual enlightenment. With the Holy Spirit it’s time to expand our consciousness and to encourage others to real life and to keep away from death sin. Summary, of Psalm 56 is the 56th psalm from the Book of Psalms. It was written by David. It is representative of him or anyone else hiding from an enemy. Psalm 56: The superscription relates the psalm to David’s first stay in Gath under Achish (1 Sam. 21:10-15:0 And David arose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath. And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands? And he changed his behavior before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard. Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?) The refrain of (verses 4, 10 and 11), mark off two sections in the psalm. First, David contrasts his threatening enemies with his faithful God (verses 1-4). Second, he expresses the truth that he is watched.
Psalm Chapter 56:1-13
Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God. Thou tells my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
Father God, what a joy it is to read through the book of Psalms and discover the preciousness of encouragement and the brilliant joy of hope. You Lord, I thank You and praise You that You are my God, and I trust You to bring me through any trials and temptations I may face today, and pray that You would use me as a testimony of Your great goodness and grace. In 1 Corinthians 15:21-26 it reads: Death came into the world because of what one man {Adam} did, and it is because of what this other Man {Jesus Christ} has done that now there is the resurrection from the dead.
Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, being members of his sinful race, and wherever there is sin, death results. But all who are related to Jesus Christ will rise again.
Each, however, in his own turn: Christ rose first; then when Christ comes back, all His people will become alive again.
After that the end will come when He will turn the kingdom over to God the Father, having put down all enemies of every kind.
For Christ will be King until He has destroyed all His enemies. Including the last enemy (Death). This too must be destroyed and ended.
In Psalm Chapter 37:9 it reads: For the wicked shall be destroyed, but those who trust the Lord shall be given every blessing.

Good morning. I had a awesome mom who was disabled. She wanted to teach people to read. One day she was upset, cause she thought that her life didn’t matter. That she wanted to teach others to read. I told her mom: You have taught us your children and all your grandchildren to read. She said she wanted to teach others. I am sure if mom had a computer, she really would’ve been in her glory. She would’ve of learned and found a way to teach others to read. Mom taught us that people like to use hard words to teach us. The dictionary was one of her bibles. Mom used that dictionary for the hard words she didn’t understand and told us if we did the same, our education would be easier. She only had to realize all that she did was enough and she was a light to everyone she came in contact with. Isn’t that the way with everyone. There are things we wish we had done or even strive to get it accomplished. Today is the first day to begin a new future!
In Romans Chapter 10:12: Verse from the Treasure Box: There is no difference between Jew and The Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. Amen!

In Hebrews Chapter 2:14-18: Since we, God’s children, are human beings, made of flesh and blood, He God became flesh and blood too by being born in human form; for only as a human being could He die and in dying destroy the devil who has the power of death.
Only in that way could He deliver those who through fear of death have been living all their lives as slaves to constant dread.
We all know He did not come as an angel but as a human being, yes, a Jew.
And it was necessary for Jesus to be like us, His brothers and sisters, so that He could be our merciful and faithful High Priest who would be both merciful to us and faithful to God in dealing with the sins of the people.
For since He Himself has now been through suffering and temptation, He knows what it is like when we suffer and are tempted, and He is wonderfully able to help us.

In Psalm 48:5 it reads: O my soul, why be so gloomy and discouraged? Trust in God! I shall again praise Him for His wondrous help.
