“A Psalm Of Supplication and Trust”

The*psalmist did not use his own words. He used the words of David! He also used words that Moses wrote in the Book of Exodus. He took some bits from Psalms 25-28, some pieces from Psalms 54-58 and some from other psalms and other parts of the Bible. Psalm 86 is the earnest, heartfelt cry of a man of God in a desperate situation laying hold of the God whom he knew well. The psalm is peppered with 15 requests, some of them repetitive, fired at God with a strong sense of urgency. It falls into four sections: In 86:1-7, David cries out in great need for God to hear and act on his behalf.
Psalm 86:1-17
Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them. But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me.

Father God, I thank You and praise You that I am a part of the body of Christ. Sometimes I suffer because of others who do not have a clue. But I know if I give this to You You will work it for my good. I thank You for all those who have been the light of Jesus in my life. Bless them today and always. +There is no one like You and I thank You, praise and worship You for Your love towards me. Help me to tear down any false god or foolish idol that I have created at times without even realizing. Thank You for this powerful mind that can pick up on it before it goes wrong. You alone are worthy of my worship, praise, and thanksgiving, and I pray that the rest of my life may be set aside completely for You, in willing obedience and humble devotion for Your praise, honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Love God More and More! Amen!”

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

“God Gives Blessings For Good”

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed. Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son. Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen. 1 PETER 5:1-14

“Prayer for God’s Mercy Upon the Nation”

For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.
Psalm 85 teaches us to anticipate the restoration of Shalom. Shalom is more than the absence of war. Shalom is aware that really has no equal but it is a wholeness, a completion, is life as it is meant to be lived. Even as the psalmist anticipated restoration we anticipate that restoration of {shalom: used as salutation by Jews at meeting or parting, meaning “peace.”} through Jesus Christ. What Psalm 85 means. “The sons of *Korah” was the name of a music group. In Psalm 85, there is one word that comes 5 times. It is “turn” or “turned”. Each time it means something a bit different: “turned the fortunes”, verse 1, is a *Hebrew way to say “changed things from bad to good, or good to bad”. Psalm 85 is the 85th psalm from the Book of Psalms, composed by sons of Korah . Who are the authors of the Book of Psalms? Authorship. There have been many authors that have contributed to the Book of Psalms as they were put together during Biblical times from the time of Moses to the Babylonian Exile. Known authors are King David, Asaph and his family, The sons of Korah, King Solomon, Moses, and Heman and Ethan the Ezrahites.
Psalm Chapter 85:1-13
Lord, thou hast been favorable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease. Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
Father God, I thank You and praise You for the wisdom and encouragement we receive from the different psalmists and thank You that a day is coming when Israel will be restored as Your special people, Your promises to them, That the wars will stop and to the Church, will all be fulfilled. I thank You and praise You that Jesus is coming to rule and reign on earth and that mercy and truth will be united, and righteousness and peace will kiss one another. I love You, Thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“Longing For The Temple Worship”

For the choir director; on the gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

Psalm 84 contemplates the blessedness of going up to the courts of Jehovah, yet, in the figurative allusion to the road thither, refers to the path of tears which His people have had to tread towards their blessings. Thus it has a full moral force, and is instructive for Christians as for Jews. Psalm 84 does not actually talk about the church. But that’s because when this Psalm was written, the church did not yet exist. So this Psalm talks about the temple, which is similar to the church. The temple was the place where the OT saints went to worship God.Psalm 84 begins a group of psalms at the end of Book III within the 150 psalms, 84−89. These Psalms attempt to provide hope to the exilic Israelite community, but despite their celebration of the historic traditions of the Jewish people, remind the reader that these elements no longer provide the hope they once did. Psalm 84 was composed by David, the Lord’s “anointed”, at a time when he was exiled from Jerusalem. It is a passionate lyrical expression of devotion and love for the house of Jehovah and His worship. The psalm seems to describe the blessedness of those who dwell in the sacred precincts.
Psalm Chapter 84:1-12
How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah. Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Father God, thank You and praise You for Your church. Where everyone who believes in You can meet and even those who don’t know You but are curious and become in the belief of one of Yours in Your church to learn and explore all about You. Thank You and praise You that the church is where true family meet, care, share, love and volunteer to assist those less fortunate that need to know they are not alone. Thank You that You sent Jesus for the sinners. Father God all those who act like they are like the Phylesteens who hated the sinner and Jesus, let them know they are walking a sinners walk and talk. Bring common sense in lives today that need this. Thank You and praise You that You are for giveing compassion to the sinner that repents and give us forgiven sinners the right road to eternal life. I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“God Implored to Confound His Enemies”

A song. A Psalm of Aspha.
Chapter 83 This psalm is the last of those that go under the name of Asaph. It is penned, as most of those, upon a public account, with reference to the insults of the church’s enemies, who sought its ruin. Psalm 83:18 – The Geneva Bible (1560): God’s name Iehouah (in older Latin transcription form), that is Jehovah. In this verse, the narrator states that he wishes God perform these various acts so that all might know that God is the most powerful entity and has sway over all the Earth. What is the Psalm 83 war? Psalm 83 War Map. So Psalm 83 is describing a Jordanian conference where Lebanon and Iraq agree to help Jordan eliminate the Jewish refugees who have fled from southern Israel into the mountainous wilderness of western Jordan. Therefore, Psalm 83 cannot be part of the Armageddon campaign. It will probably precede Ezekiel 38 & 39 and even be a Pre-Trib event. Psalm 83 will probably happen in our time, and that’s what I’m watching for it really quite closely.
Psalm Chapter 83:1-18
Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur also is joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. Selah. Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Father God, I thank You and praise You for taking and dealing with the wicked and letting them realize their own faults, shame and blame as You judge them to walk right. In reality they will turn to You for forgiveness and repentance. Let them realize and let them turn to Jesus as their Lord and Savior. With Your salvation for their lives they will be reminded of Your right laws, promises, grace and goodness. They will then be humbled in Your faithfulness forever in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
{Power Verse}
That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. Psalm 83:18

“God Is a Manning Witness”

Jesus is a brave or valiant man; and one of the first forms of the name manning to live for us and walked this earth to do for us. To show sinners how to walk in righteousness before Him and all people. Even the Pharisee’s whom hated Jesus. It reads in Luke 16:13-17 ~ And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man press into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
It reads in Philippians 1:13-19 ~ So that my bonds {Paul speaking} in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Commit your work to the Lord; then it will succeed. Proverbs 16:3

“Unjust Judgements Rebuked”

A Psalm of Aspha.
Chapter 82 This psalm is calculated for the meridian of princes’ courts and courts of justice, not in Israel only, but in other nations; yet it was probably penned primarily for the use of the magistrates of Israel, the great Sanhedrim, and their other elders who were in places of power, and perhaps by David’s direction. God is stationing himself in the assembly of the Divine One; in the middle of the gods he judges. In the Greek Septuagint version of the Bible, and in its Latin translation in the Vulgate, this psalm is Psalm 81 in a slightly different numbering system. For those who don’t realize, Bible verses about other gods means they are false gods, paganism that people follow and die in their sins. There is only ONE TRUE GOD. There is only one God and God is three divine persons all in one. The father, son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Throughout Scripture we learn that Jesus is God in the flesh. God shares His glory with no one. Only God can die for the sins of the whole world.
Psalm Chapter 82:1-8
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked. They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
{Power Verse}

Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations. Psalm 82:8
Father God, I give You all the glory and Honor. Thank You that You are Judge over all and You have the last say and no one can pull the wool over Your eyes, cause You see and hear all. Give all those who are judged wrongly by man blessings this day and let them see that You will make all things right in their lives as long as they don’t give up on You. Let those who judge wrongfully about others be put to shame. Thank You and praise You for Your sustaining grace, strength, hope and love and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.

“His Powerful Mind He, Gave Us”

And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 8:5-11
The mind can heal the body, but the body can not heal the mind. We have a choice in this life. God gave us this powerful mind and two choices. Either we can do and walk right or we can do bad and walk in with the falling world that doesn’t grow but gathers conflict and troubles.

Believing in Christ will set you free to do what is right. Amen.

“God’s Goodness and Israel’s Waywardness”

Chapter 81 This psalm was penned, as is supposed, not upon occasion of any particular providence, but for the solemnity of a particular ordinance, either that of the new-moon in general or that of the feast of trumpets on the new moon of the seventh month, {Lev. 23:24 ~ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.}; {Num. 29:1 ~And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.}When David, by the Spirit, introduced the singing of psalms into the temple-service this psalm was intended for that day, to excite and assist the proper devotions of it. Psalm 81 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, [A Psalm] of Asaph. Psalm 81: The background of the psalm appears to be the Feast of Tabernacles arrow up arrow right (Lev. 23:34-44 ~ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD. Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD. ), which reminded the people of God’s law and also constituted the feast of ingathering (Exodus 23:16 ~ And the feast of harvest, the first~fruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labors out of the field.). The psalm is composed of three distinct parts.

Psalm Chapter 81:1-16 ~Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery. Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob. This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not. I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots. Thou called in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me; There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever. He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
Father God, I am believing for those who are in need, that are depressed or are just afflicted by the chaos that You will let them no You are right with them in their situation. Rescue all those who are in slavery and bond by their sins. I am believing blessings and help for the orphans and widows. Guide encouragement in all lives today. I thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! Psalm 81:13
