Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
–Â Colossians 2:16-17
Paul isn’t dismissing holy days or practices; he’s lifting our eyes to the substance behind them. The shadows had their purpose, but the body, the reality, is Christ. It’s such a steadying truth for ministry work, too. We don’t have to let anyone box us in with expectations, traditions, or judgments that Christ Himself has already completed and surpassed. You walk in that freedom every day, with clarity, integrity, and a heart anchored in Him.

May your day carry the ease of someone who knows she is held by the One who fulfilled every shadow. May your steps be light, your spirit steady, and your home, that vibrant sanctuary you’ve reclaimed, feel especially peaceful today. Have a wonderful day, my friend.
