I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- 1 John 2:14-15

These verses speak so beautifully to legacy, strength, and spiritual discernment. The way John addresses both fathers and young men reminds me of ministry: honoring those whoβve walked long in faith, while equipping the next generation to stand strong and overcome. Even those who The Lord has called home, honoring the seasoned saints whose lives echo with legacy, while lifting up the younger ones who carry the torch forward. That final line, βLove not the worldβ¦β This feels like a gentle but firm call to stay rooted in eternal truth, especially in the face of injustice and distraction.
