“Remember Our Lord”

Father God, let this touch someone’s heart in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
Yesterday I went outside to move a pile of broken bricks. Ended up cutting grass with the push more, raking leaves and pulling weeds. I saw a snake and it wasn’t moving. I used the rake to pick it up. It was a fake snake one of the grandchildren left behind. Lo! So, I just picked it up and put it in the house. I went outside. My husband got on the riding lawn more and cut the back yard grass. Then he went to the other side of the street and the riding lawn more died. So, we pushed it back in the yard and put it in the garage. Then I had him burn the leaves. I saw this frog moving from his home, so I picked him up and found him another home. I had planned on going to church, but by the time I was done. It was too late.
What if I forgot God created me and that He existed? Then I went to Heaven because I moved out of the earth. God said who are You. I don’t know you. You want to come into Heaven. But Susan you rejected and didn’t acknowledge Me. Why should I let you in? I would say cause obviously You knew my name so You should let me in. God would say exactly, I knew you because I created you, why couldn’t you acknowledge Me. I would be as lost as that frog that I stuck in a home he didn’t want to be in.
I know I don’t like it when others ignore me. Imagine how God feels when we ignore Him.

It reads in Ecclesiastes 12:1-8; Remember Our Creator in the days of your youth, before the
days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them” before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars grow dark, and the clouds return after the rain; when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men stoop, when the grinders cease because they are few, and those looking through the windows grow dim; when the doors to the street are closed and the sound of grinding fades, when people rise up at the sound of birds, but all their songs grow faint; when people are afraid of heights and of dangers in the streets, when the almond tree blossoms and the grasshopper drags itself along and desire no longer is stirred. Then people go to their eternal home and mourners go about the streets. Remember him, before the silver cord is severed, and the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, and the wheel broken at the well, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Everything is meaningless!”

{Let’s Pray}
Father God, I thank You and praise You for Your promises and truth. I thank You and praise You that even though there are times when I stray from Your side and seek after the things of this world. I thank You and praise You that in Your grace You draw me back into Your loving arms. I believe that my life from this day forward may be a life that is consecrated to You. Let my eyes remain fixed upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. I thank You and praise You for welcoming all those who believe in You into Your family and especially eternity in Your kingdom. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
