Father God, let this touch someone’s heart today in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
It reads in 1 Corinthians 3:7; So, neither he who plants, nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. So, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters are anything, but only God, who makes things grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.
So back to the elderly. People I went to the store for and did their laundry or chores around their homes. I tell you that Mrs. Gleason liked Majesty Palms in her house. She crocheted and she had two cats. Ataboy and inky. Ataboy fell from the third story window and had surgery and survived. Inky was all black cats. They were both friendly. Mrs. Gleason loved Jesus.
There was Mrs. Fuller she liked looking out the window at the flowers and everyone who walked by. She would wave to people also. She did like to crochet. She didn’t have no animals. Mrs. Fuller loved Jesus.
There was Mrs. Webster. She was old fashion. Didn’t believe in laundry mats. She would sit in her window also. She liked cactus. She knitted scarfs, sweaters and blankets and gave them to charity. She was old fashion and didn’t believe in going to the doctors, nor was she ever married. Mrs. Webster loved Jesus.
Mrs. Grandmaison, she had plants everywhere even on the outside that I helped take care of. I learned a lot about having a green thumb and trimming rose bushes and taken care of them. Mrs. Grandmaison loved Jesus.
Miss Margret Powers. I would go to the store for her, and she would crochet and knit. She worked a job. I would go to the store for her in the evening and on the weekends. Margret Loved Jesus.
This is just a few of the people I worked for in my lifetime. But God always puts me in people’s life’s that love Jesus. Then there has been some that didn’t know Jesus. Then there was some that refused to know Jesus. Their choice. Joy doesn’t spring from life of comfort, ease. Like a spider plant reminds me of Jesus. The spider plant over time moves weeds that don’t belong in the spider plant garden out! I call those other weeds self-pity because they don’t survive. Spider plants have baby’s spider plants growing on the top of the spider plant and they spread out and set themselves in the ground and grow more. I come along and dig them up and move them to another place and put some back in the garden to grow more. Spider plants can also be placed in a hanging basket to hang with the babies.
{Lets Pray}
Father God, I thank You and praise You for the spider plants that work as Your church family weeding out the self-pity weeds. The spider plants are strong and keep growing and are able to be moved further to grow more strong plants. I thank You and praise You that You are my Lord and Savior. I thank You and praise You for the grace You have shown to me and to all who trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation. I believe for Your people, that many would repent and turn to Jesus by trusting in His blood for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. Let them spring up with Your nurturing word and watering truth to spread Your precious seed to others who don’t know You. I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
