{Let’s Pray: Father God let this message touch’s someone’s heart, mind and soul today in Jesus Precious Name Amen.}
Philippians 2 is the second chapter of the Epistle to the Philippians in the New Testament of the Christian Bible. It is authored by Paul the Apostle about mid-50s to early 60s AD and addressed to the Christians in Philippi. This verse Philippians 2:12 transitions from Paul’s focus on Christ’s humility into the need for Christians to live out their faith for the world to see. He notes his transition by the use of “therefore,” referring to his readers as “my beloved” or loved ones. This is an inference from the instance and example of Christ; that since he, who was God over all, blessed forever, made himself so low in human nature, in which he is now so highly exalted, having done the work and business he came about with such condescension, humility, and meekness; therefore it becomes those who profess to be his followers, to do all their affairs as men and Christians, with, and among one another, in all lowliness of mind. Philippians 2:12–18 explains how Christian’s ought to live, considering all that Christ was willing to do for them. The command to ”work out” salvation is a directive to let the new birth in Christ translate into actions. As a part of this, believers should serve God without griping or complaining. We must work out the practical implications of our salvation because God Himself is working in our midst. To understand this text, we must take note of the context and of several facts brought out by the Greek text. In the flow of thought, these verses introduce the conclusion of an appeal for unity that began in Philippians 1:27 and runs through 2:18.
Let’s read: 1 Peter 4:9; Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.
Let’s read: Philippians 2:12-17; Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed-not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence-continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
Let’s read: Exodus 16:7-8; and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?” Moses also said, “You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD.”
Let’s read: Proverbs 14:26; Reverence for God gives a man deep strength.
{Let’s Pray: Father God, I was created in Your mind. A holy thought that has never left its home. Asist me in grasping what You will for me to do today. I thank You and praise You that You have made Yourself known to us through Your creation, our God-given consciences and through Your inspired Word. I thank You and praise You for this bible that inspires and teaches so many Your way. Use us I believe in these end times to share the good news of Jesus Christ so that many may hear and believe that Jesus Christ is both Lord and Savior, to the glory of God the Father our Lord Jesus Christ in Your Precious Name Amen.}
