Father God, let what I speak guide others Your way. Let Your words speak truth into others so they can see Your light, feel Your strength and walk in Your power I thank You and praise You and give You all the glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen
No one can change their life as quick as turning a page of a book! I get it! But as you grow in Christ, God will show you the way. He will guide you as you learn. How awesome is this? God loves you so much He has been waiting on you and He will wait as you learn. Hope what I share today can help you to build a relationship with the Lord Jesus through His strengths and power that He gives freely.
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound. Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the LORD that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:8-15
These six virtues include wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance, and transcendence. All these you ask of God.
The strength of wisdom refers to the ability to take stock of life in large terms, in ways that make sense to oneself and others. Wisdom is the product of knowledge and experience, but it is more than the accumulation of information. It is the coordination of this information and its deliberate use to improve well-being.
Courage describes strengths that help you exercise your will and face adversity. The other strengths in Courage are bravery , honesty , perseverance , and zest .
Humanity describes strengths that manifest in caring relationships with others. These strengths are interpersonal and are mostly relevant in one-on-one relationships. The other strengths in Humanity are kindness , love , and social intelligence .
Justice describes strengths that help you connect in community or group-based situations. The other strengths in Justice are fairness, leadership, and teamwork.
Temperance describes strengths that help you manage habits and protect against excess. The other strengths in Temperance are forgiveness , humility , prudence , and self-regulation . Where does Self-Regulation appear in your Character Strengths Profile?
Transcendence describes strengths that help you connect to the larger universe and provide meaning. The other strengths in Transcendence are appreciation of beauty & excellence, gratitude, hope, humor, and spirituality.
The root word for joy in this context means to rejoice or to make glad. “Strength” in the same verse is a Hebrew word meaning “a place or means of safety, protection refuge, or stronghold.” The root word of strength means “to be strong, prevail; to make firm, strengthen.” The joy of the Lord is a constant gladness and cause to rejoice.
What Does it Mean ‘The Joy of the Lord Is My Strength’? “The joy of the Lord is our strength,” is brought to fullness when we accept His provision of righteousness by grace that reunites us so we can enjoy His presence. {Romans 14:17″For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”}
Commpassion opposed to empathy (which is putting yourself in someone else’s shoes), compassion means having genuine feelings for other people’s struggles. Compassion is a soft skill with practical benefits. You don’t have to like or agree with everything someone does, but when you treat others with compassion, they are likely to treat you back in kind.
What is the difference between compassion and action?
The component of action is what separates compassion from empathy, sympathy, pity, concern, condolence, sensitivity, tenderness, commiseration or any other compassion synonym. Compassion gets involved. Like praying for others. Listening to them. When others keep their distance from those who are suffering, compassion prompts us to act on their behalf.
Faith has nothing to do with my own strength or my own human works. It is God who works in me both to will and to do, and the glory goes to God. He can be glorified by my faith and the resulting righteousness. (Philippians 2:13:for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. ) Holiness is your conduct; righteousness is what you are, the nature of God. In other words, righteousness is not a “goody-goody” way of acting or something that can be attained. The word translated righteousness literally means “in right-standing.” We have been put in right-standing with God through the work of Jesus at Calvary.
Kindness is a strength within the virtue category of humanity, one of six virtues that subcategorize the 24 strengths. Humanity describes strengths that manifest in caring relationships with others. These strengths are interpersonal and are mostly relevant in one-on-one relationships.
(For the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. “Job 12:22: He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings utter darkness into the light.” Timothy 1:7: love self-control Spirit I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
{Lets Pray}
Father God, give me the patience to change for the better. Assist me to submit to Your Spirit, strength and power so that I may carry out the good works that You have prepared for me to do in the only way that pleases You, which is Christ in me, the hope of glory to You. I thank You and praise You for Your promises not only in my life, but also in others. I am believing for those who don’t know You Lord Jesus. That You will guide others, in their life. Guide them to a church whereas they will know that the love of Jesus resides there. Let Your light, prayer, action and power through others draw them to You in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
